I'm hoping for someone fairly young, but has been around the block a few times. Needs to have (very) thick skin, and willing to work with a bunch of morans.

Chad Morris saved Dabo's job at Clemson. That's not an exaggeration. He built that offense.

We're all coalescing around him so it is an absolute lock he gets the A&M job.

How do we even know what Currie offered Gundy?

That could have all been for show. Peyton and Fulmer set it up and Currie swoops in and offers 4.7 . Gundy says no . Well we did try for The homerun. Then trot out the bargain basement hire they wanted to make all along. Don’t trust Haslam hand puppet.

If Fulmer stepped in to even get the Gundy meeting, why was Currie trusted to go by himself to close the deal?! Currie effed up with Morris too I am sure. Why is Steele suddenly the favorite to get this job? Even Basilio is good with Steele and pushing the reasons why! The absolute only way I could even stomach Steele without vomiting would be if Tee came with him- but I'm sure Haslam and Peyton won't allow that so we're screwed. I absolutely hate Peyton right now- he wasn't for Blackburn or Fulmer in the AD search and did Haslams bidding for Schiano.

Absolutely, but ask them this... Would you settle for the results that Tennessee has achieved in the last 10 years? If it's GA fans ask them why they fired their perennial 9-10 win coach. You know what your response will be? "But we're GA, your just TN, you are not the program that we are. You need to embrace the mediocrity."

Have some dignity. The guy is too much of a clown to be a successful HC at a big time program anyway. He can't handle the big money and bug spotlight and still stay focused.

Paying him more to NOT be the AD kind of thing? :) How about we split the baby? Advance Fulmer’s position to where he’s in charge of coaching relations. Hirings, getting them what they need and other duties that are his strong suit. Let Currie handle the rest because that was what Fulmer was going to struggle with anyway if he had gotten the job. When Currie’s contract ends...reevaluate.
