Recruiting Forum Football Talk XLVIII (New Coach Edition)

Tee isn't ready, and UT is not going to suddenly convince themselves he is. And too much attention has been placed on Steele at Baylor in the late 90s. Baylor has never won except when they cheated. Steele has been wildly successful at every other stop, and he is a great recruiter, and he'd bring in a TN staff which is what we need.

How do you know he's not ready?

Hearing Leach is intriguing....Currie is hung up him though as he sued Tech for his firing....Yo Currie, you wont be here long enough that you need to worry about it...Kiffin and Leach will take it. We are now getting embarrassed by calling everyone under the sun.

Definitely more excited about this that the coaching search. Sucks for my boys too that they don't have a real football team to pull for so have to get wait for the next Marvel movie.

What sucks is that I'm now working with a 25 year old Tennessee fan who BARELY remembers UT being good at football.

What's worse is that we're now recruiting kids who think of us like we used to think of Kentucky.

Yeah.

Best part of that gif is the 5 point lead over Bama.

This situation is exactly why every single company needs a Vice President of Common Sense. The position would review every thing and apply simple, unbiased common sense and be able to nix an idea. This would have been crucial during this search and saved alot of money and time.

12 hours from now: "I'm focusing in on our bowl game and preparing this Purdue football program for next year and years to come. I would like to thank Tennessee for extending the opportunity and wish them well.

Hail Purdue."

Taggart did an amazing job there’s no denying that. If Taggart was interested I wouldn’t even think twice about Brohm, but also saying Brohm rode Taggarts coat tails is completely false. Brohm came into a better situation, but he also took the program to heights it likely hasn’t ever seen. Think about what he could do with this roster and continued SEC talent. He would do very well.

I want a good football coach. The whole “Taggart/Tee can recruit” thing is nice—don’t get me wrong. But I just want a good football coach. That’s Brohm.

Tennessee recruits itself well enough anyway to win 8-9 games a year. Also, I think Brohm would pull good classes.
