I may be the only one, but I'm going to keep saying there is no reason why we should not be hiring Les Miles over any other candidate left on the radar... It's just idiotic to think that there is a coach with that resume, with recruiting power, that actually ASKED for an interview and we turned him down.... what world is the AD living in? I can buy into other reasons on other candidates, but not this one.
Sitting here watching this basketball game seeing Coach Barnes over there and how far he's brought this team, I can't help to think Les Miles could have a similar result.
I betcha I could talk myself into Clawson over Doeren. Let's see.
Look, we've seen Dave Clawson build two programs now. Bowling Green was awful when he got there. It took him a while to get it going, and there were plenty of nasty bumps along the way, but by the time he left he had it rolling. Sure, Doeren got NIU to the Orange Bowl, but the foundation for that team was laid by Jerry Kill, who has built programs himself. Now Clawson has Wake Forest, which is one of the worst programs in Division I, playing solid football. Again, it's taken a little bit to get rolling, but maybe he knows what he's doing?
