I have experience teaching aggression control techniques and training LOE and private contractors to handle a broad scope of situational awareness/response. Based on just what we see in the video, I believe that this is a bit over the top.

Training and the law allows for neutralizing of a threat, This gentlemen does not meet that guideline for this response. With that said, I truly hope this does not get blown out of proportion in the media.

That's exactly right. Whoever that Florida fan was whose post made the rounds the other day about how he gets it, that was spot on.

This is about more than just the football team. Hell, you've got UTProf in here talking about how entire departments have been gutted without replacements and people are kept in the dark.

Top to bottom, the university is atrociously incompetent. If it takes the football fiasco to shine a light on that, so be it.
