Re failure to read Miranda, that won't matter unless he gave a confession to police after he was in custody. Didn't this assault happen in a full classroom? If so, any statements he made after probably won't be necessary.

Unless he has a self-defense argument, he's likely to be convicted if they want it.

Happened in Coaches office

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give an update on our baby boy Sutton. They still haven't pinpointed exactly what is wrong with him but a lot of the signs are pointing to maybe hypoglycemia. He was having small seizures but they having slowed down to almost cokpletely stopped. They gave him a CT scan yesterday and as far as they could see, nothing is wrong with his brain. They gave him a spinal tap this morning so we will find out those results this afternoon. I just want to thank everyone for keeping Sutton in your prayers. My wife and I are trying to keep strong for our little fighter. My wife is having a better day today and I'm very grateful for that!!

Don't think so. Students responded after hearing the scuffle.

Coach's word (and disfigured face) v. Kid probably claiming he was defending himself or provoked.

Surprised if they have already had transfer hearing to attempt to try him as an adult in criminal court though. If so, that juvenile court is more efficient than some around here!

Hate it for the coach.

The media reports of him "not having a past" is far from the truth.

Not his first rodeo

Cool keep us posted. I've been interested in your updates of his career haha. It's like he's my nephew that I'm living vicariously through, haha.

Thanks. He's really improved since last year. First game is at Ooltewah August 21.

June 5th Specialist Camp again!

I will be posting live updates and sideways pics

Yeah man. I know exactly what you mean. The gist of it is for me, I'm in a band. I'm 22. I am not currently in college, though I have a years worth done. Our band is me and three others. They are literally my only friends, and they are more outgoing than me. We are living in a small town in GA with nothing to do. Recently we have been not playing shows so we have had a ton of down time.

22 I wish I could go back! You have your whole life ahead of you. FOLLOW YOUR DREAM!

ETSU Football (plays at Neyland in 2018) released our football uniforms yesterday by fashion show. I like them. Went with the Swoosh, thankfully. First game since 2003 (my senior year) is September 3rd.

He kicked a ball over the fence and scoreboard from the 10 yard line yesterday. What was great about that was Blackman's track team that had many football players were on the track at the time. I loved it.

Here's a picture from last week to show how far that is

Hey guys,

Please pray for my sweet baby boy sutton and our family. Right before we were about to get discharged from the hospital they checked our beatiful boy out one last time and it looks like there is something serious wrong with him and they are sending him to NICU in Augusta, Georgia. Please keep us in your prayers my wife and I are torn up right now. We are trying to be strong.

You got it

Glad he's doing better. I know it's frightening to have to go through the spinal tap, having seen that needle before. I hope and pray they will find out the cause of his issues so he can get an effective treatment plan.

I hadn't seen the replay until just now. But, I am not sure that you can say that there was an intent to injure. But for the loose ball and the two locked up for position, it wouldn't have happened, and it's just a reaction to jostle for position. It's not like a swinging elbow at a face.

But, the NBA is a joke with this type of punishment either way. Kind of like when they rescinded Westbrook's technical when OKC was playing for a playoff spot.

The league needs to send a message though. I think it was at worst irresponsible. Game four and you do something that is not a basketball play and end up knocking a guy not only out of the game but the rest of the playoffs, allegedly per the Cavs GM.

Continue to pray for you, your wife, and Sutton. Look forward to pics of him at his first UT game. I know I speak for many, y'all are in VN's thoughts and prayers.

The problem is that they punished him based on the result. If he had done it and Love hadn't gotten hurt, he wouldn't be suspended. You can say that about an elbow, too, but any other violent act gets a suspension regardless if there is an injury.

I just didn't think it was that bad. There is a lot of arm pinning down low when two big guys are fighting for position. I see it all the time. NBA just wants to protect their stars. If the Grizzlies weren't good, I wouldn't even watch. Pretty close to WWE type action.
