PS If you read this board Mr. Ownbey, maybe sit the next few plays out man. We all think it's unfortunate that players get hurt, but this is just weird. Did you really think he would disclose this information to you?

lol does he not realize that football players get hurt? Most of the spring surgeries were typical clean ups from where the kids played hurt through the previous season. Sometimes kids don't realize they really have a bad injury in HS until they get to big leagues. The DR see something and try to prevent a future worse injury

What happens if a walk-on gets injured and needs surgery? Does the school pay their medical bills?

Yes, anyone officially on the team has the school pay for their pre-season physical, training room needs (getting taped up for practice every day, rehab, etc.), and surgeries.

Aren't all UT students covered under the school? I tore a ligament in my foot my freshman year, got xrays, and didn't pay a dime. I don't recall having to use my family's health insurance.

Tennessee came to see Johnson twice during the spring evaluation period and Johnson has kept in touch with them some via social media.
