despite monumentally ****ing up my sophomore year of college, after going to a community college for a year, i can proudly say that i have been admitted as a tennessee vol.

Words can not describe how shocked, relieved, and just overwhelmingly happy i am that someone that could mess up as bad as i did can turn it around to get accepted into a major 4 year university.

Home games...

Regular days on campus...

Living in knox full time...

Seeing a lot more sexy females.

I am extremely excited!

fyp.

Best years of your life. Cherish them and make the most of it. I graduated a year ago and I already really miss college.

Oh you already know it, going to have to put on that panty droppin smile :)

Proud of you.

Thanks Volatil and Catbone, love you guys

I think I've already done a little bit too much of the "enjoying" part of college life, hence the monumentally ****ing up sophomore year lol But you best believe I will enjoy myself.

Boys. We just dodged a bullet. Bowling Greens leading sacker has been arrested with a felony.

Whew...

You too mock! Seriously, enjoy it. I'd like to think I could have gone there if I didn't pursue my music career.

best DB Nick Johnson arrested in April too and he is gone. Thats about 8 starters off an alreayd awful defense. WR Ronnie Moore also suspended the first half.

Been there...like, in the exact situation and circumstances...many moons ago.

Good luck and congratulations!

A few words of unsolicited advice...

It's really really easy to get caught up in the college life in K-town...have fun but don't forget to study and go to class.

I forgot about that last part the first semester I was there. I broke the land speed record running from Greeves to McClung after I overslept for an Anthropology final...in flip flops, no less.

Go to parties...be responsible. Don't be the guy who shows up in police blotter in The Beacon on Monday morning.

Live in the Fort for at least a year and then move to a quieter spot...this will come in handy during your junior and senior years.

Go to Every. Single. Football. Game. Seriously, no excuses here.

Go to at least one *ahem* lady Vols BB games.

GO to a baseball game at least a few times.

Get a degree.

Good luck MV!!

Phil Steele

Phil changed his mind on where DB should be in his rankings...

In the same sense, there were a few oversights for my All Conference teams, most notably Tennessee DE Derek Barnett being listed as 3rd Team SEC. Last year, Barnett made my final 2nd Team SEC last year as a true frosh and the other 1st Team SEC defensive linemen were gone, so he naturally should have made the jump to 1st Team. How did this oversight occur then? Well, when determining All-Conference teams, I rely on my individual player power ratings, which consider height, weight, speed, PS#, NFL scout evaluations and, of course, their stats for last year and for their career. Those numbers had Derek Barnett 1st team SEC. To select my All-American team, I speak to my NFL contacts, particularly Gil Brandt, with whom I spent hours going over each of the top players for the draft. Since Barnett is a true sophomore, he is not eligible for the draft, so his name did not come up in those conversations and he was not fresh in my mind.

........

So Tennessee fans- I definitely agree that Derek Barnett was worthy of 1st Team SEC and he was there on the page until that last minute move. This is a mistake that was made just like Athlon knows that Florida STILL has a football team even though their last minute change left them off the pages. There are always a couple of typo type things in every magazine. In any event, the most important accolades are the Midseason and Postseason All-Conference teams, so trust me that I will be watching him closely and happy to place him on the top line if he continues to build on his fine freshman campaign!

Congrats. You should be there to witness some great wins at Neyland.

Oh, and one more thing...

When a cute coed suggests that you two should study calculus together, go.

No matter how much you hate calculus...or having a class that's not in an air conditioned building....or that you're going to drop the class in a few days.

Just. Go.

...sigh.

Also wear protection.

lol phil steele forgets to put Barnett on the first team and instead puts Jordan Jenkins on the first team, he got what like 6 sacks at most last year. He panders to the UGA fanbase...
