Ran into Montario Hardesty last night in the Cleveland airport. Really cool guy, he was surprised I recognized him. Didn't realize he was a GA last year at UT but he told me he had taken a job at Norfolk State as RBs coach this season. He seemed pretty excited about Hurd and Kamara duo in the backfield this season.

Also, have to throw this in there, he was pretty excited as he was going to the Finals game Tuesday in CLE to cheer on my Cavs.

"Cool stroy bro"

Friends with Hardesty. He wants to be a head coach. Would like to see him eventually coach RB's at UT.

Did Hardesty retire due to injuries? It's been a minute but I know he was at least a little productive while he was with Cleveland.

MH was a hard runner. Really liked his game.

I am not a 49ers fan, so I am not sure exactly what all the carnage was. I know they have had guys retire unexpectedly. He certainly appears to be a tough guy to play for, but it appears to me that their front office should take as much, if not more, of the blame. Harbaugh left it better than he got it, and they hired a DL coach as their head coach when it was appealing to some very good coordinators and maybe even other head coaches. Harbaugh has proven to be a great coach. I believe he has Michigan being much better in the next couple of years, and even if he leaves, the program will be better.

Big 9ers fan here though they are testing me this offseason. Issue with Harbaugh was mostly front office but his style doesn't translate well to the pros, either, IMO.

He gets his players to perform but after a few years it falls on deaf ears. He doesn't adapt. College is perfect for him since they move on before they get tired of his routine.

Come to Dave and Buster's at night. Im there everyday this week except Tuesday and Sunday. I work in the area around the bar, and Im the guy with the beard that has "UT Vols" on his nametag

Will try and convince the wife too. Seen Corndogs and Bammers at the beach too. Is it normally a lot of college tents at the beaches?

Not as huge a fan as some others on here, but IF Nike gets the correct tint of orange for the uni's I guess I can live with the numbers. To tell you the truth though, the 5 looks like the S in the "wordsmith" logo to me.

That's how I see it as well. If this is it, I really don't know why they couldn't just use readable numbers and leave the stylin' to the design and colors.

So VQ has a new article up about Jon Gruden's current & future involvement with the Tennessee program. It's a good read (hint: he can't say enough nice things about Butch Jones), but what stands out to me is that UTSports.com just put out an article saying essentially the same things not three or four days ago. That wasn't an accident. I wonder what the big media push is about.

His son is starting at Tennessee this fall as a student. He will probably be on campus a lot the next 4 years.

The big man is on campus.

If anything, Kahlil McKenzie's arrival on campus means I'll probably be drinking more beer and cussing at more Bama, Florida, and Georgia fans than ever. Good times ahead.
