I know, thats very true and a good point. If you can't tell I don't do that very well (check my stats.. errr posts) I've had absolute AWFUL luck with girls. I just downloaded tinder the other daylol:
My doc essentially said "p*ss on it".
I'm 5' 10". At my worst, I got up to about 320. Bit the bullet, joined a gym last November. I've dropped about 50 pounds so far, the next 50-70 will be much harder because I see now I will really have to change my eating habits. Working out is second nature now, I literally get cranky if I don't.
But I digress. According to the chart, I "should" weigh between 170-180. In talking to the doctor, he said don't even worry about that right now. He said with the way my numbers have changed just with what I've done in the last 6 months, if I settle out somewhere between 200-215 I should be fine considering my build. If I concerned myself with that number now, I'd probably frustrate myself into quitting.
He actually laughed and said with my gigantor head, if I got down to 170, I'd look like a beachball on a broomstick (and said, given my activity level at work and at the gym, he would start to be concerned).
Granted, I'm in a much different situation than you, but it still seems to be the last thing to worry about in a lot of cases.
I'm 5'11 230lbs. My wife is pregnant and I've gained 20 lbs. Her cravings are milkshakes. Tell me to not get myself one.
I understand those feels bro. I don't lack in the confidence area when it comes to girls, my problem is that I am awful at picking up on their signals and ****. I am very good at making girls interested in me, I just don't realize they are interested in me until weeks after their interest has subsided due to my being an idiot.
... I have this one story about a CRAZY hot Asian chick that wanted me bad, but because I had once told her that if she ever wanted to hook up I'm game and she just laughed it off, I thought I was friend zoned. She more or less threw herself at me and it wasn't until she had transferred to another college that a mutual friend told me that she had yearned for my juice.
I'm gonna say that 300 a day is for lean gains, not someone going for pure strength/mass lol
I do ~300 reps every other day but I'm just shooting for maintenance/ slight gains while losing fat/ toning up. A year ago I was a very cut but peckish 5'10 140 pounds, last month I weighed 190+. I have cut down to 180 and added a little muscle so I want to keep on this path till I'm ~170.
Have you ever done 300-400 reps going as heavy as you can possibly go the entire workout? It's a bit different. I usually stack on about 20-25lbs in the winter purposely. I only power lift when it's hotter to try and keep some size. I let my diet shred me down to an extent.
