"In addition to the newcomers, some veterans continue to earn plenty of attention. A year ago, Pig Howard looked doubtful to be on the team. Now Howard is having his best off-season and is more focused than he has ever been. Josh Smith continues to improve health wise. He was still battling is way back in the spring, but is definitely healthier than he was a couple months ago.
Offensive tackle Brett Kendrick is the strongest he has ever been as he hits the scales around 310. Kendrick's continued improvement in the weight room is certainly noted as he has picked up where he left off back in the winter. Todd Kelly, Jr. isn't lighter than he was in the spring, but he's leaner. Kelly has dropped some weight but added back what he describes as good weight."
