Couple notes from the War Room on VQ...

-As Ron previously noted, Pig and Kendrick are having great offseasons.

-VQ called Darrell Taylor an "athletic freak". Kahlil has been super impressive so far. They commended him on his agility and strength. Also said he showed up in great shape to Knoxville.

-Peyton was on campus and worked out with the Vols last week. Manning kept talking about the overall speed and talent upgrade compared to past years.

-Looks like the newcomer who has wowed the most has been Sheriron Jones. He's turning heads right now. Jones was complemented for his physical skills and mental makeup.

-In the Spring, Josh Smith was still battling getting back to 100%. Looks like he's a lot more healthy now than he was in the Spring.

-VQ noted that Todd Kelly isn't lighter, but leaner. He dropped some weight and added back some really good weight/muscle.

-Nothing new on Pearson. They still expect him back by the Fall, but this investigation had drug out a little longer than expected.

-Butch is set to head to South Beach this week to hang out with his good friend, Erik Spoelstra.

-VQ said that Wednesday's unveiling of the new Nike uniforms will be a big show. Several Nike reps will be there. There will be a lot of Orange and White, and even some gray shown.

Haven't been on here much lately. Just wanted to give a congratulations to Ashlee and Sutton. I added them to our prayer list at church a month an half ago. Glad to hear they're both heading in the right direction.

I'm trying not to get too worked up but...dayum...we're about to put a hurtin' on some SEC OL's.

...and then there's Sherrion Jones.
...and Dormady.
...and P. Williams.
...and Kamara.
...and Kirkland.
...and Taylor.
...and...and........an.......*heavy breathing*.........

Aside from Von's status, all good news. Think back to the dark days of Dooley, it's hard to remember anything positive coming from the inside.

Knowing Butch, at Media Days he will talk about the "so called experts" predicting us to win 2 games and that we will be the youngest team in the country for the third year in a row.

yeah, your probably right. I hope Butch does have at least
some encouraging comments.

In Butch's defense, he's been far more positive this spring/summer than in years past. Granted, he still isn't preaching rainbows and butterflies (and never will be), but he's been very complimentary of his team's progress compared to prior years.

Kahlil will be like Clowney and NFL ready by the end of his freshman season or halfway through his sophomore year. Body composition wise he's already there. Just needs some experience going up against SEC offenses.

I agree he has been positive. just hoping he doesn't bring up we are still to young stuff. not bashing him at all.:rock:
