I wouldn't be surprised if you saw him work at safety as they continue to try and get as much speed on the field as possible. They have explored that option some. He could still play nickel, too.
The secondary battle should be fun to watch because this unit has some players but they also have good character and understand they are all pushing each other. I think he'll find his way on the field one way or another.
In another thread you said they wanted to play Cam Sutton in the nickle. Where does that leave Gaulden? Isn't he a guy you have to get on the field in some capacity this year?

I would say it's one of our least deepest spots when you consider we have two seniors.
I was speaking more toward the prospect of moving Kelly, which I'm not sure if he was actually being serious.Depth is seasonal. Sure, you could maybe make the argument that it won't be deep NEXT year, but this group has 4 high-caliber, SEC-starters-worthy safeties. They'll all rotate a ton this year, and there won't be a dropoff in any of that rotation of 4.
And even next year, you got TK Jr., Ev. Berry, Griffin, maybe Jennings, plus Swafford, maybe Warrior or whoever else they sign. Depth shouldn't be an issue for Safety.
Meanwhile, we lose Sutton at any point this year, and we could be in big trouble.
