I personally think Cortez McDowell is the most underrated (or maybe I should say, least talked about that deserves mention) on the team. He was almost identical to JRM in special teams last year and will be the #2 guy at Will imo. He flies to the ball and can cover a back, slot, or a TE/H-Back. He'll make an impact whenever he steps on the field as JRM's backup. I'm hoping Dillon Bates and Eliott take a big step this fall and reach Cortez's level. Our special teams coverage units should be really fun to watch this year with all the young athletes we'll have

Special Teams have been a lot more fun to watch the last two years. I'm not sure the previous head coach even knew what ST coverage meant.

He worked last year and he's taking a vacation when the other coaches are taking vacations. This ain't a regular job...there's very very little down time.

These coaches just work 20 hour days, that gives them four hours of downtime each day. What more could they want?

I was speaking more toward the prospect of moving Kelly, which I'm not sure if he was actually being serious.

I was only being half serious. TK is looking more like a LB every day. I know we are losing two seniors, but we also have lots of talent at safety. But we have seen a pattern of young players grow into different positions. I know I'm not the only one thinking TK could end up at LB one day. I heard Swain mention it briefly a few weeks ago.

But, no, not trying to debate, just thought it was interesting that we are working Gaulden at safety in addition to nickel...

I just heard Clay Travis on the Chris Vernon Show in Memphis. They were talking a bunch about the big game lines that just came out. Apparently, UF is the dog in all 7 that came out.

I saw them last week, and UT would be the favorite in their first 5 games and a pick'em against UGA. Clay asked Chris how many times UT started a season 5-0 since 1980. Any guesses?

My guess is 1-2 times. It's been rare to get past UF and UGA in the same year, and those are our first SEC fixtures. The 80's were a different time though, so maybe more :dunno:

We have so many talented LBs it's going to be fun to see that rotation. They should be able to keep that group fresh. Our special teams coverage will be one of the best in the nation.

Ugh owning a home sucks. Thing after thing. Florida has a drought so my irrigation well pump decides to bust and my yard starts drying out. That was fixed so God orders the storms to start coming in daily knocking 60ft of my fence down and breaking the anchors. *****...

However this class ends up, just know that this is a vital class for beefing up depth and needed positions. Butch is doing a great job.

This years class will be consistent in it's amount of good quality depth. Next year will be star studded. 2017 we end up top 3.

Yet, I think we're getting a big-time star QB this class in JG. JMO

Well... If anyone's in Nashville, I'm doing a legit bar crawl with my older brother for his bachelor party. Pretty ****ed up

I was in Nashville all weekend. Could've possibly ran into you Friday or Saturday night. However, I find it much more enjoyable to stay away from VN & my phone while drinking & "chasing women" as you say. TIFWIW.

Gaulden will make us leave Sutton outside all game. He'll be a star at the nickel.

I'm guessing that'll be the case unless we're playing a WR like Pharoh Cooper who likes to move inside and out. I like the idea of Cam following the other team's top WR anywhere on the field and shutting him down. Gaulden is a future star, but I doubt he's as good in coverage as Cam at this point.

Our coaches shouldn't be going check 0 on these slot dudes. They consistently did that to Coleman or a safety. That was just crazy as heck....

Swain said the other day we will get a commitment or two off alternate jersey alone. It will be a huge argument all day on Wednesday haha

don't know the integrity of this rumor at all so PLEASE take this with a huge grain of salt as it MOST LIKELY IS FALSE

but I heard we MAY become an air jordan (jumpman logo) sponsored school (as air jordan is a division of Nike and the schools sponsored by it are chosen by Nike/Jordan/Falk).

The person I heard this from is an unlikely candidate for accurate information, so like I said previously, it's probably just wishful thinking, but IMO it would be pretty damn cool.

Don't lambaste me too hard if this isn't true

This has been mentioned before from recruits. A few said they were told we were working to become the first Jumpman school in football but then it disappeared. Interesting it is mentioned again
