You're taking a random Rivals poster's story as the truth. Should you really be arguing about factual evidence?

My evidence is that Jumper is a walk-on not on scholarship who was rated a 2* by all services to my knowledge. VQ and 247 do a fantastic job of pumping up players during the offseason, yet there has been little to nothing on Jumper. We have a few guys at MLB that are on scholarship and were rated much higher than Jumper.

I'm all for Jumper earning his way and surprising everyone. But, I'll wait and see what really happens.

No one said anything about exceptions to the general rule. This board has been historically very quick to jump to these types of conclusions.

The numbers are very much against Jumper ever reaching that level of success.

Nick Reveiz was a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy. It is given to the best collegiate football player that began as a walk-on. He had 108 tackles as a senior. There was nobody on the roster ready or better. He even got an invite to an NFL camp to work as a FB. Colton Jumper looks to have better size, speed and athleticism than Nick. This talk may be ammo to get some scholarship guys working harder and smarter. Regardless, it's very much a positive.

Bryant might be the hardest hitter on the entire team. Dude can flat out lay the wood. Its the other responsibilities that come with playing mike that he struggles with.

I predict Bynum starts game 1 but is leapfrogged by Kirkland by the Georgia game. Kirkland is going to be so good.

Your earlier posts didn't reflect that "wait and see" position. And I haven't stated ANYTHING as "the truth", just acknowledged that I have no inside angle. Star worshippers hate this but JJ Watt was a 2 star. :wink2: Players slip through the cracks, I don't know that Jumper IS one such player and conversely you don't know that he ISN'T. :hi:
