Until he's not - North is a figment of the imagination. Butch will decide when he's not and he isn't telling anybody. So it's the rotation from the UGA game that can be counted on. So how did that all work out? Really well IMO. Bama is not better that UGA in the secondary.

I am not full BrB on Bama's offensive efficiency yet. Those 3 picks they returned for TD's also took away 3 potential offensive drives that could have resulted in offensive points. However, they are limited on offense. In watching their actual play on offense it comes down to defending 3 guys - Henry, Ridley and Howard. Drake can hurt you, but not dominate. We never defend TE's well, so an emphasis on it by CJJ would sure help things. Sutton on Ridley 100% of the time needs to happen, with Kelly in to defend the deep posts and deep sideline stuff. Defending Henry is all about manning up in the trenches between the tackles. Gum it up inside and force him outside where he's not good at all.

Beatable for sure - but not an easy day on the road against a team that knows how to win and finish. But beating a quality Bama team at Tuscaloser would be a legacy deal for Butch.

Maybe Blanc playing has more to do with the philosophy/desire of playing 9 receivers.

We had a small rotation against Georgia and I think it helped us. For whatever reason CZA and Butch think we need to play 9 guys at WR. I think the small rotation was a blessing that was forced by injuries.

And I am hoping it opened up the staffs eyes. That's why I am more than willing to dance with the GA crew the rest of the way. The others can get back into the rotation if there is an injury to 9,25,3,15, or 7

*UK can theoretically lose to us but win out in the second scenario, forcing a 4 way tie, in which I have no clue what happens.

In a 4-way tie, it's Rock-Paper-Scissors time with UGA getting disqualified because they keep throwing Stars out and wasting their tools away in the game.

Maybe Cody Blanc is playing well... I can't remember the last time he was healthy.

He's the same size as Da'Rick. It's not like throwing Jacob Carter out there.

There's no way you see a 9-man rotation this weekend. If Blanc is hinted at playing, it means you're probably not going to see Jo.Johnson or North. That being the case, Blanc would be our 6th receiver, with Malone, Jennings, Smith, Williams, & Pearson. Blanc is a good blocker, at least.

Good post

North at 80%? Is that from Butch or from here? I'd take 80% North on 3rd or 4th down passing downs or redzone 110% of the time over Blanc.

I agree. My point about 9 receivers is that the coaches want to play 9. I think it's stupid. It's a dumb concept. 6 is more than enough.

Hopefully we go w/ 6 from here on out.

Suggesting North has been froze out of the rotation, or should be is laughable.

I don't know what is up with North but since the Bama game last year he hasn't been the same. He had no catches in the next two games and then missed the final 3 games. He has 4 catches for 38 yards this season.
