I'm 99% certain I've heard him say that they want to play nine. I remember him talking about not enough depth in 2013. The rotation was too small. etc.

Five practices in, Azzanni has somewhat of an idea of where his receivers will play on Saturdays but the job is still up for grabs.

"Whoever [the best four] might be, if that means its Jason Croom in the slot, it's him in the slot," said Azzanni. "If it's Pig Howard outside, it's him outside. Whatever it might be I am going to get the best four guys out there to give us a chance to win. I am going to develop that as we practice and find out who the playmakers are. And the playmakers are going to go play and I will teach them the position."

Azzanni would ideally like to travel and play nine receivers in every game.

I get that he probably doesn't rate out with many of our other receivers, but if he is needed why wouldn't we hold open the possibility that he has a positive impact?

Was that a pass play though? Josh Smith is our best run blocker at WR. If there is a big run to outside its usually him blocking. Johnson is probably one of the better run blockers as well. So that may have been the call that play

It was a run play, but that's not my point. When you get into goalline situations, why wouldn't you have one of your "go up and get it" tall receivers in for even a THREAT of a fade or something? That often times pulls a safety out of the box and gives an advantage to the run game. If D keeps that safety in the box, give your athlete a chance to make a play on the outside. (And not to mention having your speed back in on 3rd and goal on the 1, but I know that's been hammered enough after that game).

All you need to know is the lack of the Fade pattern plays in the end zone. One on One coverage with the defense stacking the box for the run and yet we don't have enough faith in Dobbs or in the WR's to go up and get the ball.

Ya, one of my biggest complaints about this offense. That and screens to the side where defenders outnumber WR.

That's never coming back. The coaches finally realized the rotation had to be thinned out after the Florida game like I said awhile back. With that being said, a healthy Marquez North will absolutely be in the rotation.

If the red zone play calling stays similar to the Georgia game, I don't see how anyone could complain. The fumble is on the players, not play call. The possession we ended with a field goal should've been a touchdown if wolf came down with a catchable ball, and the others were all touchdowns
