It's JMO, but I believe Stanford is better than Florida. I feel like a majority of CFB viewers see that Stanford is playing better football than Florida. Sometimes it's that simple.

But we can look at resumes, I guess-
Stanford:
Wins vs Notre Dame, vs USC (x2 if they win on Saturday), UCLA, close Loss to Oregon, Loss 1st game of season @Northwestern.

Florida:
Wins vs Alabama (if they win on Sat), vs Tennessee, vs Ole Miss, vs Georgia. Close Loss @ LSU, Big Loss last game of season vs FSU.


While it's pretty close in terms of resume, one team has a great defense and a terrible-to-watch offense. One team has a top 10 offense and not-very-good defense. Also, the committee has one ranked 7, the other ranked 18

What if....

...the reason that Kirby Smart is coaching thru the postseason is that he wants to delay putting together his staff because he knows Saban is leaving and he will be able to poach Bama's staff after the playoffs....

I will be interested to see if he makes many hires.

Total brainstorm on my part and not likely I know but fun to think about.

Rich rod makes me about 1% nervous. Don't see what all the worry is about, its south Carolina, a program like Mizzou that made its living on a down sec east....

I assume he is Mizzus choice because if he wasn't he would have already accepted Memphis offer. Memphis has bluffed him twice publicly hoping to force an answer from him and still silence. Mizzu is dumb if they don't hire him. He might actually stay there for a while despite being a complete disaster

KY would be smart to stick with him and give him time. That was never a 3 yr fix job. He is improving the roster but the problem is he is in a conference full of teams that can bring in one monster recruiting class that quicklly is better than 2-3 full KY classes. He chose the wrong job and probably should have waited around FSU to win a championship the next year and springboard that into a bigger job

Fair was a GA at UT and was a coach allowed on the field. Hate this is a Gator article but does explain GA's being on the field at practice and working with units. Only two of them can do this and yes, Fair was one.
