My understanding was that he was a GA the first year...if not, hell with it. I think he'll be a technical improvement because of his real life (both college and pro) experience and the work he's already done. That you don't agree is sort of a bonus.

KNOXVILLE — Colorado State announced Wednesday that former Tennessee assistant Terry Fair has accepted a position on its staff as defensive backs coach.

Fair spent the past two seasons as a defensive quality control assistant for the Vols.

Fair wasn't allowed to be in the film room with our players much less the practice field. That part surprised me

If butch hires him I am all for it. It just isn't a slam dunk upgrade due to experience.

I thought it was crazy to but apparently there is a clause that says something to the effect a non conference champ has to be unquestioned better than a champ.

They said Florida's schedule would put them on equal footing with OSU and thus the championship clause would put the gators in

It was an interesting listen

That is crazy about Smart- hopefully this is Sabans last stand and he leaves too- would be hilarious for Alabama to be left scrambling for a coach at the last minute. Too many bama fans here in East TN- they think Saban will never leave.
