Saw that we pay our strength coach 60k a year. Bama pays 600k. It clearly works for them

Yep, get what you pay for, still trying to figure out why the university is such a tightass when it comes to paying g for the main sport of the school. It's getting embarrassing in all sports

Paid Lawson $300,000. Szerszen was his assistant. Betting he makes more than $60,000, but if he's retained his salary would be bumped until it's inline.

If you look at each of the injuries, they are not S&C related. They are all football/ contact injuries that just happen. Players get their legs rolled up on. Players take big hits. That's football and just bad luck. The team is bigger, stronger, and faster than ever. Doesn't mean there won't be injuries.

However, continue with your meltdown. Hope it makes you feel better.

We are having a season like Florida did in 2013. They went 4-8 due to a ridiculous number of injuries to key players.

The difference is that they had their easy SEC schedule early (5-7 Tennessee, 3-9 Arkansas, 2-10 Kentucky) and didn't get into the bulk of the schedule until they were decimated.

With half their starters out, they played and lost to LSU, Mizzou, UGA, Vandy, South Carolina, and Florida State...and of course the infamous Georgia Southern loss.

Thankfully, Mizzou, South Carolina, and Vandy aren't as good in 2016 as they were in 2013, so we should still win those games. And TTU isn't a triple-option offense team.

It won't, unless somebody gets fired. Then they can feed for days. :)

We've gone from 2-4 weeks to out for the season? Goodness.

I'm having meniscus surgery on 11/14, they are removing up to 40% of medial meniscus.
Not sure what his prognosis is, but it could be something that he can't bounce right back from.
I'm obviously not a D1 athlete, but in very good shape and train hard weekly, and I was told 5-6 weeks before I'd be back to 100%.

Bolded flat out isn't true. Better conditioned, maybe. But certainly not faster and stronger. The fact that we got pushed around week one vs App State was a huge red flag looking back.

People jumped all over my case for saying they should have left. Now look at this that's happening to them. Wanted to argue me down about a degree when I said go make your money and come back for a degree. But I guess I'm wrong now. Smh These young men need to jump as soon as they get a decent grade. Go sit on that money and live an easy life.

The real question is what grade did they get?

Just un-f'ing believable the injuries with this team. Naturally it comes with the most talented and promising season in a decade, and each week we lose multiple key players are every position on the field. I've just never seen anything like it. We cannot have nice things here.

We legitimately are going to struggle to win the rest of our games with the lack of depth and key playmakers missing up and down this roster. It's just not even close to the same team.

Keep bringing truth.

This is the recruiting forum, right?

Yet people who make these sorts of comparisons ignore the implications of recruiting. Specifically, comparative talent which is highly predictive of wins and losses.

For example:

Michigan is the second most talented school in the B1G, and they would be 10th in the SEC. Do you think he looks as good playing 10 teams with more talent? Or, is it easier to win a ton of games when you out talent, often substantially, all but one team on your schedule?

But, you don't have to take my word for it...

Anyone blaming strength and conditioning now? It is obvious that is a real problem. The team is not stronger but the opposite. Any hit and our players are down with serious/ season ending injuries. Making that change was a catastrophic mistake and it will be a miracle if our team can survive. Even if we get some players back for SC, we will have 3 more get injured all over again. These are not weak teams we are playing down the stretch. Last year we got stronger as the season went on, this year it is the opposite. It is a nightmare.

The overreacting and overreaching in the RF and FF is comical.

This place has been a nightmare since the Alabama game. Decided to just sit back and, every now an then, read this board. Every time I do I continue to up the amount of Xanax everyone needs.

Why the hell is Butch downplaying Kamara's injury? Saying it's news to Alvin. What a lie. Just tell the damn truth Butch, this is getting comical at this point. Praying he's right, but with LWS and 34 saying he can't walk on it- seems a little worse than "banged up".
