Better than another DT or OT I suppose. DE is relatively deep, but JRM is the leader of this team on defense.

I'm hoping this is a out a few months issue is all. If that's the case it's a blessing in disguise, everybody knows he's our leader and now other guys get a chance to step up and take a leadership role and guys get valuable reps....jrm is a stud and missing spring is not a problem IMO....hope he's gonna be alright though

Butch says JRM and Bates will be back by June

As of today, we don't have any injuries that are expected to carry over into the start of the season correct?

Both Austin Smith and Darrell Taylor jump out when you see them working in drills. Hard to imagine that those two can't play.

In the passing game, Preston Williams and Jauan Jennings continue to show themselves well along with veteran Josh Smith.

Preston Williams is just hitting another gear; it’s amazing to see his continued development and frankly just how far he has progressed.

Drew Richmond has shown much better progress and the ability to work through mistakes and keep going, all elements of Richmond’s maturity.

No fault of his own, but I think injuries will never let Bates contribute much here. Held together with twine. Kind of like Ben Martin

Holly has been with the VOLS since the 1800's and it would be like getting rid of family (More a Fulmer situation than a Dooley one) I think that there could be better coaches with this talent, but she hasn't done anything to be fired.

As mad as I get with her, I do want her to succeed. She was a fantastic student athlete and really has been here since Noah stepped off the Ark. She's family like you say and despite the poor coaching this season I want more than anything for her to somehow turn it around. I've always said Holly's biggest problem is that she's still waiting for the Head Coach to show (not just Pat but anybody). She still has an issue with letting girls out of state and recruiting in general and needs to learn quick but if our girls will show some flashes of what they should be and Holly starts showing that same thing too then I'll try to be patient another year.
