And you decide to brag about your freeloading on a message board.

Freeloading? I have worked for everything I have. Sorry if I have offended you,and I never meant to talk about the situation I simply answerd another poster who was curious.Thought being apart of the Volnation family I could talk about things without it being a problem or offending any person.Again I apologize.

Freeloading? I'm a manager for Amazon.com an have worked everything I have in life and I'm very sorry that this has offended you but most people would be excited to finally be able to watch their Favorite football team for an entire season in this day an time Most people can't afford a TV to watch the games. So again sorry if I have offended you, which your answer has nothing to do with my initial question on this season an 17' recruiting....

To answer your original question you should be very excited for the season and our recruiting class that will follow it. As the season goes on and we move up in the rankings, recruits will hop on board. Gunna be nice being in those season ticket seats my friend

Steve Spurrier coming back to receive Neyland Award

Steve Spurrier, who beat Tennessee with three different schools at Neyland Stadium, will receive the award given in honor of the stadium's namesake.

Spurrier is the 2016 recipient of the Robert Neyland Award, presented by the Knoxville Quarterback Club.

Everyone's complaining about how ironic it is for Spurrier to win the Neyland Trophy. Do you people realize others that have won it? Wallace Wade, Shug Jordan, Ara Parseghian, Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, Vince Dooley, Gene Stallings.

There's 5-10 people on the list of award recipients that piss me off more than Spurrier.

I honestly didn't know the history of the award. I still think honoring him at the spring game seems like a bad idea.

The guy has taunted UT endlessly for a quarter of a century. He's a hell of a coach, definitely a legend of the sport, but there's no way he doesn't get showered with boos.

Good. It's a stupid idea to honor Steve Spurrier inside Neyland Stadium in front if UT fans, regardless of the circumstances.

Agreed. Giving him the award is one thing, but honoring him at the stadium? What?

I guess that means we can one day expect to honor Saban at the O&W game as well.

OK, poor research on my part. I didn't realize he was being honored at the spring game. I definitely have a problem with that. Carry on!

*Maybe someone wanted him to remember what winning something in Neyland feels like!

Of all the spring break trips Tennessee’s players took last week, Alvin Kamara’s tops the list.

The Tennessee running back not only spent his spring break in sunny Miami, he also spent it working out with All-Pro Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to a report by Chattanooga Free Times reporter Patrick Brown. Brown played for Tennessee coach Butch Jones at Central Michigan.

“Alvin’s going down to Miami,” Tennessee coach Butch Jones said after Tuesday’s practice, “and I get a text message, and there’s him and Antonio Brown together.”

Jones said Kamara and Brown were working out together during the week off and plan to do so again in May.

Most would think Brown spent some time at the beach. He said that wasn’t the case.

“I’m a dark guy, and if I go to the beach, I’ve got tattoos and you won’t be able to see my tattoos,” Kamara said. “When it starts getting hot out here, I’m going to put on long sleeves.”

That was harsh Chris and I apologize. I am a business owner and have been exposed to several frivolous lawsuits. I am sensitive to the topic as you see. I don't know your details from the incident but if you were paid that kind of money I'll assume their staff was either apathetic or incompetent. Either way, they'll all be fired and be forced to explain to their families how they failed and wonder how they will make ends meet. I have had to fire good people over mistakes they have made due to lawsuits.

I'm glad you bought season tickets with your money. Enjoy them. I hope your family and kids didn't suffer medical hardships from the bugs.

I'll stop with the topic since A few on here are getting upset. I just wanted to point out the other side.

Back to the Vols!

If we win 10+ games this season, where would Butch's resurrection of UT football rank among recent program turnarounds?

Harbaugh has obviously done a fantastic job at Michigan, but the cupboard wasn't exactly bare when he took over. Hoke recruited fairly well there.

Malzahn at AU, Meyer at OSU, and Fisher at FSU all walked into pretty good situations from a roster perspective.

Dabo has elevated Clemson to a new level, but their program hadn't quite sunk to the levels of Tennessee. And while Bama was pretty bad before Saban took over, Shula did have a 10 win season, and that 12-0 regular season in 2008 was primarily due to Shula's players.

Not that it's big time football, but Doc Holiday has done a great job of turning Marshall around and recording multiple 10+ win seasons.

You seemed a little angry before that showstopper. So odd...affected your comic timing.

Agreed. I am normally fun.

I needed the sleep. Jimmies were slightly rustled last night.

I won a lawsuit last week. In the process I had to terminate a mother of 3 and a father of 4. Crushing and still bothers me. Sorry. Every paradigm is different. Chris is happy now. Other people paid and probably not the corporation.

Like I said, if they were negligent or intending to cause his family harm, they got what they deserved. I also felt Chris was exposing himself. My tact however was aggressive and I was wrong about that.

Terrence Cody sentenced to 9 months in jail for abusing and starving a dog to death. That POS left his dog locked up alone for two weeks without food or water. Wish they would do the same to him in jail.

Seemed genuine and heartfelt until you read the words. :). Since you've self-admitted a personal soreness and your display of that caused the resulting back and forth, by "a few" "getting upset" you meant YOURSELF...right? :good!:
