Amazing times we live in. We are currently so deep into the hills in a village. My whole family is sleeping in an 8x8 room with no indoor plumbing or mattresses. The sides of mountains were literally on fire at times while driving up... Yet a lie on this floor, waiting for sleep, with 4 bars of cell phone coverage checking Volnation

:eek:lol:

And I STILL can't get decent internet where I live in Kentucky. Thanks AT&T.

Why don't you go back to your team board and gloat about hiring the next Saban... Talk about idiotic, you are already saying you would take Smart over Jones, and he hasn't even coached a down of big boy football.

After watching the GIF of the last play of the uga game last year I noticed that even on the LAST PLAY we STILL had a LB "spying" in no man's land. Not rushing, not covering. What in the world?? So glad we have Shoop.

Wow, that's a good catch and absolutely ridiculous. Even worse than the play against UF. There were 6 seconds on the clock so if the QB took off he'd have to go 26 yards to win.

That was talked about here in great detail

Many posters claimed the Georgia game proved the coaches grew up when in reality we did the exact same thing we did against florida. Ran it 3 straight times when we could have ended the game. Punted on 4th and short and ran the spy plays exact same coaching decisions

Fwiw the only thing I thought was wrong in either game was the spy in the Georgia game

Yep, I didn't realize that Grayson Lambert had such a fast 30 yard time to do that.

If I recall, the offense opened up much more in the passing game. But, we were down 24-3, so we were forced to. I will give the defense a little credit on the last play against UGA because the secondary were in position to make plays. But, the "spy" is ridiculous because it basically has you playing 11 on 10. He is in no position to make any play whatsoever.

Yes the georgia game was aggressive for sure but the florida game was balls to the wall as well. Trick plays even on 4th down. Both games we played very aggressively until the end.

Rule of thumb for using the spy - use it only against a true DT QB in long yardage situations. Mobile QB's can gain some first downs using their legs on you, but they cannot break the game open that way. Go get the QB, or contain and mix up your coverages. There are times to use the spy against DT's. It is better to use a safety instead of a hybrid or a LB that CJJ was using.

Jancek must have still had visions of Aaron Murray in 2013 dancing through his head. Didn't Murray break off a big game changing run late in that game?
