This is getting ridiculous

Honestly not sure how anyone is surprised anymore.

I'm slightly concerned that every single injured player is due back in June according to Butch. Hopefully that's not sugar coating it.

Amazing times we live in. We are currently so deep into the hills in a village. My whole family is sleeping in an 8x8 room with no indoor plumbing or mattresses. The sides of mountains were literally on fire at times while driving up... Yet a lie on this floor, waiting for sleep, with 4 bars of cell phone coverage checking Volnation

:eek:lol:

Keep doing what you do, Nick. Very admirable.

Nothing else better to do.

I'm just helping his son with "bulletin board material". Georgia isn't worried about Hurd but by God they are fired up that Butchna said they are getting boat raced.

If they need to believe it was butchna...thatz kool. :cool2: Wasn't my material tho. :)

I listened to a Volquest podcast recently and Brent Hubbs (I believe) said the level of "injuries" this spring is nothing compared to the Fulmer years when up to 30 key players would miss chunks of spring practice with "injuries." I got the sense these are all precautionary in nature. I think Butch realizes he's not getting paid to win the spring game.

These are my thoughts as well. I could definitely see Butch saying, "What your shoulder is sore today? That's okay Austin, we'll hold off until June." It's funny how everyone is due back in June.

Rule of thumb for using the spy - use it only against a true DT QB in long yardage situations. Mobile QB's can gain some first downs using their legs on you, but they cannot break the game open that way. Go get the QB, or contain and mix up your coverages. There are times to use the spy against DT's. It is better to use a safety instead of a hybrid or a LB that CJJ was using.

I think you should only use it on a QB that is more likely to beat you with his legs than his arm. You use it to contain a running threat and it can be used liberally to force the QB to beat you with his arm. To use it on fourth and long or on the last play of the game is crazy and stupid.

I agree. I say if we played Florida April 16th that about 90% of the injured would play

Jancek must have still had visions of Aaron Murray in 2013 dancing through his head. Didn't Murray break off a big game changing run late in that game?

I still remember that Murray play. The fact that he was able to have a 60 yard run against that defense speaks a lot about the level of athleticism on that 2013 team.

That's what I was saying with the DT - dual threat. They tend to be less efficient at the passing game. Totally agree on that 4th and long - it is stupid.

I have wondered how EVERYONE is back in June myself. With another one, I just don't believe it anymore.

Because that is probably when summer workouts start and they are just sitting them the remainder of spring whether the severity of the injury actually requires it or not

Exactly. Just as long as they are back by fall camp I guess.

Yeah I doubt they're all back by June, but really there's no way for us to know if they're not. Reporters aren't going to be dishing which guys are skipping on lifts that put undue stress on their shoulders or are doing alternative conditioning to avoid undue stress on a leg/ankle.

I find the number of shoulder injuries disturbing just because we've seen so many lately, but I do agree with many others too that a big chunk of these guys would be suiting up if this were the fall.
