Spieth is a beast, but Jason Day has been on fire lately. I thinks it's between those two. DJ just hasn't shown he can win big, but it would be nice to see him win it.

I'm looking forward to UT being relevant all season in CFB discussions on TV. It will be nice to wake up and watch, say, the TTU game on Nov. 5 and hear the talking heads discussing the Vols' inevitable SEC East title and path to the playoffs.

Could Westwood win that elusive major? He's 4 back. I see Spieth having at least a 2 shot lead right now against the contenders, maybe 3. I think Smiley fades quickly, and I think the moment is too big for Matsuyama. Langer is interesting, but age will get the best of him today. He needed the conditions to remain brutal to pull that type of monumental upset. That takes us to the even par guys...the calmer conditions will favor Day and DJ, IMO. Spieth is grinding hard, but he seems to really be fighting something...looks very uncomfortable over a lot of shots.

The reason I mentioned Westwood was because I looked at his scorecard earlier, and he had made a bunch of bogeys but has avoided the big numbers. However, he's started off bogeying #1, so he's further behind the 8 ball.

At least 2 shots. For all the attempts to build up the drama - he clearly is the one guy handling the pressure today.

Athletically the 2016 class is loaded top to bottom at DB. Wade is a kid that may not end up as good as his rating. He's a good player but athletically he's not a monster like the kids in the 2016 class. Stevens and Gibbs are legit though for sure. Top tier studs but 2016 has Osbourne, Warrior, and Byrd headlining the class. Best DB class in the country in my mind.
