The craziest thing about the roster overhaul is that the media has frequently referenced how good the team looks, and we've been missing a ton of good to elite players all spring camp (JRM, Malone, Barnett, Phillips, Hall, Evan Berry, etc.), AND we don't even have guys like Kongbo, Callaway, Byrd, and Warrior on campus yet.

😁

Scary isn't it 😁

Those last two holes were ugly. He definitely struggled in. Even 16 wasn't pretty. His driving completely left him. Everything was right. His chipping and putting was suspect too. His mental state seemed to go away.

He's playing with the young guy tomorrow. That may help relax him. They know each other pretty well.

That finish was ugly. His chipping/pitching was poor all day. His putting made up for it until the end and on #11. He's got work to do. He was overthinking it way too much today.

That was a uncomfortable as I've ever seen him on a golf course. I think his mental makeup will allow him to put it behind him quickly.

Hope so. He needs to use his late fellow Texan's approach, Harvey Penick, from the Little Red Book. Take dead aim - no negative thoughts. He was doing way too much second guessing during his pre-shot routine.

I thought yesterday he let the course officials get to him yesterday when they put him on the clock.

Man it really sounds like Marquill Osbourne is coming on strong. He might push Malik Foreman on that nickel spot. I watched his interview earlier on 247. He's got so much swagger and confidence. I enjoyed it a lot. He talked like he was the starter. Almost reminded me of the way Kirkland was when he first got here last year. It seems like you rarely ever see freshmen get a lot of time with the media. But he handled it well.

Cam Sutton was also talking about how impressed he was with him and that he thinks he will help us right away whether he's the starter or not.

And we haven't even thrown Byrd and Buchanan in the mix yet. Thats championship depth at corner. Exciting.

They basically said he'll play on STs this year. Foreman is entrenched at the nickel. Plus Abernathy is ahead of him as well. It will be good to watch them all(new class of DBs) develop their first year. After Foreman, Sutton, and maybe Martin leave next year we'll be in good hands. 😀

From Shoop's recent interviews, it sounded like Abernathy has been training almost exclusively as a safety and as the 4th corner in Dime sets (though he did say they're looking for ways to get him on the field). So Abernathy might not be ahead of Osborne at the nickel potentially.

Hopefully Foreman stays healthy and keeps things locked down so well that we don't have to find out who would be the #2 nickel though.

I completely forgot about Buchanan...another talented corner. That DB class is so loaded

Well the 4th CB is behind the 3rd/nickel right? Lol If he's a safety and a 4th CB he knows the nickel's responsibility. He's just good enough to play all over and it's Spring so it's time to work guys in different spots.

Love the wind up to Spring Practice. Just makes me more antsy for fall to get here and I still want to have a good summer before that happens. I have zero worries on D. Shoop makes lemonade out of lemons. Just think what he can do with champagne to work with. Wow.

I don't know about the rest of the class but the secondary class is flat out nasty. #NOFLYZONE 😁😁😁😁

I agree. Elite top flight. Your assessment of Buchanan rings throughout this class also. Guys like Niehaus,Tatum and Bailey...with a strong year of redshirt development, will end up in that category also. 4 star talent that wasn't 4 star yet. All IMO.

It probably depends on how exactly they order their depth chart. Being the dime doesn't necessarily mean you're the second nickel corner.

He and Gaulden both know the responsibilities of the nickel, but we don't know if that necessarily means they'd put one of them in over second team nickel (which has been Osborne this spring) if Foreman went down.
