Why does everyone in the sport media say that Dobbs must improve his accuracy then? Take the orange shades off. He must get better. He's the best qb on our team but that is his one weakness that needs to be addressed

Because he's human and everyone needs to improve at something. They say the same about Cam Newton and he's the MVP.

There is a passing issue somewhere. Is it QB accuracy/arm strength? Is it WR play? Is it coaching? Whatever it is needs to be resolved. A team that refuses to throw it over the middle when the defense is clearly giving up the middle is not taking advantage of the situation. The QB and WRs need to be on the same page and the OL needs to provide pass protection. This has not been achieved to the degree necessary to win the Division. At Tennessee the passing game should be a strength. I expect to see improvements this season.

D4H Dude stop being so defensive. Serious question. Are you related to Dobbs or do you legitimately have an unhealthy obsession with him. If you're related, I can overlook the ridiculous things you've said.

He must have really good assistants that like making him look so good and making him successful at every stop.

Steve Jobs was an a-hole and he did okay for himself also.

He's been successful, I won't argue that. I'm just not sure if what he does is sustainable. "Candle that burns brightest..." and all that.

He seems like the type that is all over the map and that starts to wear on people eventually. He didn't exactly make friends in San Fran...

Why are you so defensive about Eason? Are you related to him? Or just a dawg fan with an unhealthy obsession?

Eason is the wildcard for UGA. If he has a Josh Rosen freshman year, they could win the East and 11 games. If he has a Matthew Stafford freshman year, they win 8-9 at most.

I am not that worried about Eason. Starting at post #204 of his thread shows me two things about him.

First, is the scene in the club/bar. I know recruits get shown a "good" time while they are on their visits but video of someone pushing a girl on a recruit doesn't scream "quality character to me. Dobbs has accuracy issues from time to time but he is the leader of our offense and he oozes quality character from every pore. I will take a top notch leader that overthrows a few passes to a Tyler Bray type that can drop a deep bomb into the WR's hands but leads the team down a destructive road.

I'm not saying that that video is completely representative of him, but the OV posted a couple pages later that Eason told the AAA that he wasn't going to play unless he was on the East Team because he wanted to play with more of the future UGA commits. I can understand that a little bit but when you are given an opportunity like playing in the AAA I prefer the humble guy that is grateful for the opportunity and goes out there and does what the admins and coaches ask. If he is expecting concessions at the AAA then he will expect concessions at UGA and if he thinks he knows more than his coaches and he is gonna do things his way....

Anyway I'll take any of the guys on our roster over Eason all day erry day. I am not worried about Eason but he might want to watch a little film and be prepared for our DL. He might want to fear them a little bit.

We see it the same way. I have been saying this for a couple of years. I just don't know if it is primarily on the players or on the coaching staff. I know you have to call those plays to know, which they did not. Perhaps they feared the consequences. This year there should be zero excuses. Senior QB with ample starts under his belt, experienced/talented receivers, experienced/talentd RB's, experienced O-line.

Eason does come off as more Ryan Leaf than Peyton Manning.

Kid hasn't even thrown one pass in a college game and you're comparing his mental acumen and intelligence to other players. You are truly the Pitbull of Volnation – completely harmless but utterly annoying.

I'm not saying Eason won't be good, but his transition may be tough than it was for Rosen. Rosen played at a California power and played a ridiculously tough high school schedule. Eason played very poor competition. I think it was Buck Belue that was saying he talked to some of the Buford coaches about Eason and his film and they pointed out how terrible his competition was and that he was throwing to guys that were wide open. Not saying he won't be great, but the learning curve will be much steeper. Look at how much Jake Heaps was hyped coming out of Washington and he was terrible.

Josh Rosen would be a top tier QB in any conference and will be the No.1 pick after his junior year barring injury

Yes, he's a very good looking QB, but I don't think it is a stretch to say it is much easier to put up big passing numbers as a true freshman in the Pac-12, a conference full of pass happy offenses and bad defenses, vs. the SEC.

This needs to be posted every time there is a discussion about our passing game. I guess it makes too much sense for everybody to agree with.

Avoiding questions like a politician smh. The only thing I've ever said about Eason was him having a good spring game. I'd take Dobbs over Eason. But you go ahead and whine some more.

Eason has tools but he was playing against flat out garbage. Time to welcome him to the South. 😁😁😁😁

We are going to bust some heads with our DL this year. Couple that with our elite secondary, we got a lot of defensive turnovers incoming. Just gotta stay healthy
