Eason as the 5th best QB in SEC after a semester on campus? I can't wait until the lights come on and that green jersey comes off.

Me either, but those rankings really reflect how many first-time starters the SEC will have at quarterback this season. Basically, quarterbacks 5-14 are all question marks, with the exception of Barker (underwhelming), Shurmur (at Vandy, so he sucks), and Lock (underwhelming with a horrid offense).

When are we going to start locking down some of this in state talent for 2017. A little worried we are behind where we should be at this point. These local Clemson fans seem to think they will raid TN for its top recruits from here on out. They claim their staff is using the lawsuit, and the no NFL draft picks to really gain ground in our state. Has our recruiting peaked with the 2015 class?

Butch has to prove he can win with elite talent.

I'd be more concerned with how we play September and October than recruiting.

Start 7-0, beat Alabama, and we'll be the talk of the nation.

Then we'll talk recruiting.

So Pat Dooley ripped off Paul Finebaum and several others who called A&M the Kardashians because of all their current drama and is feeding that to a homer audience? Sounds about right. Guy can't even come up with own insult.

Injuries and QB play killed him there. I think he may still prove a good coach, but stacked deck so far

You do realize that the reason we still lose to them is 90% mental at this point....the "streak" weighs heavily in all the Vol staff and players minds....even though they say it doesnt.

Ole Miss with the #1 QB will be way overrated this fall. Every year there is at least one SEC team that totally collapses despite a high initial ranking (Auburn in 2015). Ole Miss will be that team this fall.

SAIP, ESPN FPI gives us a better chance at beating Bama than UGA.

55.8% chance to win vs. UGA
59.3% chance to win vs. TA&M
58.9% chance to win vs Bama

And, as of right now, there is no team the Vols play that would be favored to win.
