I heard on the radio that Butch offered a linebacker from the same school as Jacoby.
I think he is in the 2018 class....I think his last name is Dingle....

Don't know about him. Kyle Oliver's brother is picking up offers. Mississippi State was one.

Thanks for clarifying. I can't stand the D4H ridiculousness, but I am often cautiously optimistic, and I think this team is going to do good stuff this year.

I'm extremely optimistic and am not ashamed of it. This is the best team we've had in 15+ years from a talent and senior leadership standpoint. I'm confident that they will make us very, very proud.

Ole Miss with the #1 QB will be way overrated this fall. Every year there is at least one SEC team that totally collapses despite a high initial ranking (Auburn in 2015). Ole Miss will be that team this fall.

And there's no guarantee that Kelly won't do something stupid between now and September.

Putting a ton of faith in that guy doesn't strike me as wise.

You do realize that the reason we still lose to them is 90% mental at this point....the "streak" weighs heavily in all the Vol staff and players minds....even though they say it doesnt.

I'd agree with you if we were talking about golf. I say it has more to do with the product that is put on the field and everything that goes into it. From recruiting, to game planning, practice, conditioning, play calling, and execution. If it was 90% mental then all we really need to do is get a shrink and talk this out. To get back to my original point, I don't get all the muschamp is a garbage coach talk when he's undefeated against us, including two wins over cbj

SAIP, ESPN FPI gives us a better chance at beating Bama than UGA.

55.8% chance to win vs. UGA
59.3% chance to win vs. TA&M
58.9% chance to win vs Bama

And, as of right now, there is no team the Vols play that would be favored to win.

Let's get it boys!

Tennessee 2016 FPI - Volunteers - ESPN

I don't think it's too far fetched. Playing Bama, who we lost to by 5 pts on their home field last year vs playing GA, who we beat by 7 pts on our home field last year. I think it's quite possible that Ga could be the harder game to win.

My personal feeling is GA will be the 2nd - 3rd hardest game, but it is possible it could be the hardest to win.

At somepoint we have to do this to finally put closure on the dreaded curse.

Beating FL, UGA, Bama, TAM and LSU in one season would be epic.

I'd rather beat Bama in Neyland and then again in Atlanta, but if we have to settle for beating LSU in Atlanta, I guess I could find a way to live with that.

That would be an undefeated team competing for the NC.

It's like dominoes-- beating UF would have Team 120 storming into Athens with confidence sky-high. If the Vols are undefeated going into TSIO in Neyland, I'll believe it's possible.

Would be epic but Florida is the key. Back in 98 when we beat Florida and those goalposts went down, we all knew that the win was even bigger than just getting Florida off our backs. We knew right then and there that we were going to the National Championship game and that we were going to win it. Nothing would deny us after beating Florida.
