Thought for a long time it makes geographical sense to add Memphis, Cinci, and UConn to Big XII. WVa wouldn't be out on island and what a strong BBall conference it would be.

Not heard any interest in doing so by said parties however.

I posted this in the FF so it would get a lot of eyes but for those of you too mortified to go over there, check this info out.

Below are our win percentages versus the rest of CFB in different timeframes from today.

All Time -10th
Last 100 - 8th
1926-1975 (50 Years) - #1
Last 75 - 8th
Last 50 - 14th
Last 25 years - 14th
Last 20 - 19th
Last 15 - 36th
Last 10 -59th
Last 5 - 75th!
5 years before Butch - 85th!!!!!!
Last 3 - 58th (tied with Florida)
Last 2 - 43rd
Last year - 30th

Very interesting to break it down this way.

Amazing what Butch has done taking over a program that was literally one of the worst power 5 teams in the country (recent record wise) and get the trend turned around so quick. If we go 10-2 this year and miss out on Atlanta make sure to remind your fellow Vols where Butch brought us from and to not get their panties in a wad too quick. We deserve to expect Atlanta this year because this team is certainly capable but also remember to be patient. Fulmer certainly didn't take us to Atlanta the first year he had a team good enough to do it and it took Majors 8 years or so to win the SEC.

These averages hopefully will significantly improve the next 5 years!

Go Vols and Go Butch.

Excellent Eric!
Reminds us of who we are, where we have been recently and the positive direction we are headed!

You realize the Titans have two first round draft picks next year? So they could theoretically still get him.

Why draft Henry then?

Honestly it could still work, as Murray probably has a limited shelf-life.

If Henry pans out, having him+Fournette in the backfield would be ridiculous. Stats-wise, those two are the best in the SEC since Bo and Herschel.

Isn't Murray on a 4 year deal with 25 M guaranteed? In 5 seasons he's averaged under 200 carries a year other than the one big year with Dallas. Looks to me like the Titans are committed to the tandem for several years.

Awful value for a robotic back use to running through huge lanes. Said it on draft day, and will continue to say it. He won't be good

Averaged under 200 carries a year because he was so frequently injured, just like he was in college.

I am not arguing anything about his past injuries. I am stating Robinson and crew are betting the house that Murray combined with Henry will be a strong tandem for several years, especially since the O-line should be improving over the period. They seem to think they can keep him healthy by splitting carries with a strong, big back. The under 200 carries a year is a marker that he is not over the hill after 5 seasons as some are. In 5 seasons he has played in 68 games. That is a 13+ games average per season.
