I am not arguing anything about his past injuries. I am stating Robinson and crew are betting the house that Murray combined with Henry will be a strong tandem for several years, especially since the O-line should be improving over the period. They seem to think they can keep him healthy by splitting carries with a strong, big back. The under 200 carries a year is a marker that he is not over the hill after 5 seasons as some are. In 5 seasons he has played in 68 games. That is a 13+ games average per season.

Not disagreeing with you either. Just pointing out that I think Titans have made dumb decisions at running back.

You could be right. Next couple of years we should know. I just don't see the negativity of some on here when they haven't even strapped the pads on yet.

I agree Fournette is a stud. But they would have to give up the farm to trade back up to get him next year unless they totally tank next season. He will be in high demand. There are still too many places to upgrade on this roster to go for a RB at the top IMO.

Let's be real, Titans are drafting high again.

Lol

We also top a RB with a very high pick. There will be better backs available next year in the top three rounds. It was dumb

Peyton Manning - QB - Volunteers

Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman keeps "hearing ... over and over ... from NFL people I trust" that Tennessee legend Peyton Manning wants to coach his alma mater.

"I don't know if it's accurate," Freeman notes. But the analyst goes on to point out that Manning doesn't seem interested in a position as a television analyst or in an NFL front office, at least yet. "He's not the type of dude who sits and relaxes," Freeman wrote. "At least not for long." With Butch Jones' program having come under intense fire over the past year, this is a report to file in the back of your mind.

Don't really agree with that last bit, FWIW.

I have very little faith in Mularky, otherwise I'd probably defend my boys. I'll be happy if we reach 8 wins this year. To me, that would show marked improvement and instill some confidence into a franchise that desperately needs it.

Still, F the Colts and their half-retarded looking QB. :)

You may be right. What happens if you are wrong? Do you come on here and admit it? lol.

That's what I see, 7-9 depending on injuries.

None of us have a lot of faith in Mularkey. I didn't until I dug a little deeper and looked at the coaching staff changes and connections. They are going old school Steeler style football. Mularkey had very little to work with last season, like Jacksonville and Buffalo before. Plenty of holes left to fill, however, there are some quality players to work with now.

Very interesting interview last week on Knoxville sports radio with VFL and current NFL Network Draft analyst Charles Davis. He talked about several topics but the most interesting was his view on Josh Dobbs as a NFL QB.

Here's what he had to say on Josh Dobbs as a NFL prospect:

"I think he [Dobbs] is a tremendous prospect. If he has a big last year, he'll be one of those guys we ask how high will someone go to take him."

Here's the full interview: https://m.soundcloud.com/knoxnews/charles-davis-050516#c=648&t=10:08

Listen from the 15:40-17:50 for what he says about Josh Dobbs NFL potential.

Here is the cliffnotes for those that don't want to listen:

- Charles Davis says that NFL teams are "very intrigued" by Dobbs because of his "body type and skillset".

- He says that NFL teams are looking for "CONSISTENCY" from Dobbs in 2016.

- That if you "had access to their reports", they would be looking for "consistent play and consistent skillset" from Dobbs in 2016.

- He says Dobbs has all the potential but it's come in flashes.

- A big senior season could have him going very high in the draft.

Exactly, Dobbs could be a fantastic prospect if he could show more consistency. That is literally the only thing his game lacks. That would put us over the top this year.

I think back to the Georgia game. For one and a half quarters he didn't look like he could throw it into an ocean. Then the completion to Josh Smith happens and he can't miss from then on.

He also had a similar game against Kentucky where he was missing early and then got it together and had a great game.

It's all about consistent footwork with him. I've noticed he gets lazy on the short screen passes. Poor footwork. He tries to just arm them which is why alot of them end up in the dirt.

If he focuses on his footwork on every throw, I could see a monster season coming.

Butch has to prove he can win with elite talent.

I'd be more concerned with how we play September and October than recruiting.

Start 7-0, beat Alabama, and we'll be the talk of the nation.

Then we'll talk recruiting.

Don't give you likes for most of your posts. However on this one you are spot on. Hay is in the barn.

This is common sense. We all know this. Stop acting like your the only one that points this out.

Let's be honest....that pass to Smith in the Uga game was horrible....lucky Josh Smith has good hands.
