I think he would excel at multiple spots. Just an all around good football player. Not following the force feeding?

He got many many more targets where it was clear the ball was going to him no matter what, much more than anyone else. Plays drawn up just for him, that kind of stuff. I think coaches (smartly) wanted to reward his good attitude about switching, so they gave him more targets than guys who were more experienced WR like North(which might explain his alleged ire).

Point is, coaches went out of their way to make sure he got targets more than they did for anyone else (imo of course), and he still wasn't able to make any plays, so I'm not holding out high hopes that he'll be a huge contributor at WR this year.

According to Hubbs, there were "pervasive whispers" in Destin this week that Ole Miss will face a postseason ban from the NCAA.

And in a very Volnation way, some OU fans are worried that it will cause troubles with QB recruiting or a QB on the roster will transfer...

Well now you got Kyler Murray prolly waiting two years to compete with Austin Kendall and other high rated QBs to be signed. I don't think Coach Stoops was very forthcoming about the possible logjam and there is huge appearance of SHADINESS.

Freeze going to share that possible tidbit when he's negatively recruiting Tennessee targets?

He was a true freshman playing a lot of minutes. Some players (even future great ones) get markedly better in their second season...remote possibility.

Jennings was also supposedly playing lights out in practice going into the season. The media guys were talking him up non stop like he was already a star. I think he earned the opportunities he got. SEC football is tough on freshmen. He's going to get better without a doubt. He will likely be our 4th WR, and I wouldn't be shocked if he beats out Malone for that 3rd spot.

And man I can't wait to see what Callaway and Byrd can do.

So much talent there. One of these guys is bound to step up.

Also love the idea of Kamara in the slot. 🔥🔥🔥

He caught 14 passes and there weren't many(if any) drops I can recall. They weren't feeding him the ball.

It was his first year at the position.

Tennessee has opened as a 19.5-point favorite against Appalachian State. The line has already jumped to 23.5 #Vols

@Michaelwbratton "SEC Mike"
I don't see us winning by 24+. Maybe it's a selective memory but it feels like Butch always take the foot off the gas and plays very vanilla in the early OOC games. and I don't think Shoop would want to show off too many new blitzes with Va Tech the next week. It seems like a 31-7 or 31-10 type of game all the way

What was the original reasoning for him only having 1 year left?

After his true freshman year at Texas Tech he found out he wasn't getting a scholarship despite starting 7 games and receiving assurances before the season...transferred to Oklahoma...had to sit out the next year but wasn't allowed to redshirt...thus lost year
He transferred within the conference and Coach Brah didn't release him...crux of his argument is that he was a walk-on WALKING ON to another program.

Guess Kirby Smartass can't take a compliment:

"I think Georgia is one of the best football teams in our conference and not just on the East side," Jones said. "When you look at the competition on our side, it’s going to be a challenge."

“Well, since Butch came to none of our spring practices I don’t know how he’d be able to say that,” Smart said.

52-14. Mark it down.

Butch needs to stop this crap. Stop showering praise to your opponents.

Saban praised Dooley for crying out loud. Just because a coach compliments another team or coach doesn't mean they believe it in the slightest.

Personally, I'd rather have a coach like Spurrier was with the media. Sarcastic but simultaneously bluntly honest...minus the occasional drunken outbursts of course.
