thats fine. His doo doo OL at UGA still has to try and block our front from killing his freshman qb. We'll see him soon enough on the field.

Saban praised Dooley for crying out loud. Just because a coach compliments another team or coach doesn't mean they believe it in the slightest.

Personally, I'd rather have a coach like Spurrier was with the media. Sarcastic but simultaneously bluntly honest...minus the occasional drunken outbursts of course.

His drunken outbursts were when he was most honest!

And they'll be going against an angry DL who knows they cheap shotted one of their own. Our front four is gonna feast that game!

Nothing that either Jones or Smart said was out of line or anything other than coach speech. Both were about setting up expectations for next season.

He caught 14 passes and there weren't many(if any) drops I can recall. They weren't feeding him the ball.

It was his first year at the position.

Then what makes you think he'll be such a solid contributor? He was first read a LOT and couldn't get open or make the catch or get any yards out of the catch. Why so certain that he should be in the same group as PW, Malone, Smith?

Bartow just CB'ed Justin Foster and the Gaddy brothers to Tennessee. He must really want VN to like him again.

Wait...did we ever like him?

IMO you are vastly overstating how much he was targeted. Either way, he's learning the position. Those guys are career receivers. Not like any have consistently shown those traits ATP. Maybe Josh Smith who I think will have a huge year. I think that highly of his athletic potential and ability.

Baylor is not lettings their signees from the 16' class out of their NLI. Says they have to go through the appeals process. What a s**t show.

I don't see us winning by 24+. Maybe it's a selective memory but it feels like Butch always take the foot off the gas and plays very vanilla in the early OOC games. and I don't think Shoop would want to show off too many new blitzes with Va Tech the next week. It seems like a 31-7 or 31-10 type of game all the way

I would think that, except we played similar teams (Utah State; Bowling Green) and were similarly vanilla and beat each by more than 24 points the last two years. And we were less talented/experienced.

I just don't see them moving the ball well, even against our second team. And I don't see them holding down our rushing attack for more than maybe a few minutes in the first quarter. I think even if we are vanilla, we'll pile up 300+ yards rushing and wear them out.

Final point: Butch hasn't taken the gas off too much. He was playing for points with the second team against Northwestern in a blow out bowl game, and did the same against Vandy. In both games, the announcers noticed it and debated whether that was good sportsmanship. I think he does the same this time.

This will be red meat for a rowdy Thursday night crowd.

In the middle of the season before he got banged up, JJ was our toughest, most aggressive receiver.

Well Kirby...

1. Butch has recruited probably 90% of the players on the UGA roster. He knows there is talent there.

2. UGA won 10 last year

3. Butch has coached the last three seasons against UGA. I think he may have paid attention.

4. Butch has already been breaking down film for the UGA game this year. He prepares kinda meticulous, ya know?

5. The conference as a whole, especially the East is down. Not rocket science, but even if it was, we'd send in Dobbs to try to 'splain it to ya. UGA is one of the stronger teams. Accept it, and prepare to get waxed by Tennessee anyways
