"There were rumblings of a defensive back injury on Sunday. Cam Sutton hurt his wrist in practice. I'm told this morning that x-rays were negative. He's obviously going to be limited and watched closely the next few days. But it doesn't appear to be anything serious at this point. If need be they will get an MRI look at it at some point I'm sure but that might not be needed. Again, the x-ray's according to a couple of different people I have spoken with were negative yesterday."

Hoping and praying Hubbs is right this time- his record lately isn't as good. Any insiders know for sure is it just a sprained wrist or worse? Damn he came back for this season he is a key player in every sense.
its entirely likely butch jones might not have had a single player who could top 20 mph when he first arrived at the university of tennessee in 2012.
Now the vols fourth-year head coach has by far his speediest roster and newcomer tyler byrd presently rests atop the list.
A freshman skill player from south florida, byrd was clocked at 23.7 mph, according to a picture posted monday on tennessee's official snapchat account. Second on the list also was a newcomer, rookie defensive back nigel warrior, who registered a 21.6.
Both players have wowed through one week of camp and should contend for immediate playing time.
Meanwhile, senior linebacker jalen reeves-maybin registered a blistering 21.1; hes an nfl draft prospect who weighs almost 235 pounds. Senior nickelback malik foreman also topped 21, and cameron sutton, a preseason all-sec candidate, hit exactly 21 mph.
In all, the vols had a dozen players crack 20 mph, including jalen hurd, who was clocked at 20.3 mph.freshman cornerback marquill osborne (20.9 mph), sophomore running back john kelly (20.8), junior wide receiver jeff george (20.7), redshirt junior wide receiver josh smith (20.4), junior cornerback justin martin (20.3) and sophomore linebacker darrin kirkland jr. (20.1) also registered top speeds above 20 mph.
Up front, tennessee measured its 16-mph men. The vols had five defensive linemen crack that mark, with newcomer jonathan kongbo posting a blistering 18.4 mph at 282 pounds. Even 316-pound kahlil mckenzie nabbed a 16.3 mark.
Clearly VQ knew it was Cam but didn't want to report it until they verified the severity. I'm sure that a report of "Cam Sutton was injured at practice on Sunday and will miss time depending on the severity" would have triggered a giant meltdown.
I'm thinking several players we'd expect to see did not run. Berry was over 20mph in the spring, so I highly doubt he slowed down. I'm thinking guys like Berry, Kamara, and P. Williams did not participate.
It won't be the same crowd as Florida, but might still be reported as a sellout and Neyland will look really good, imo.
Doesn't help answer your question too much. My bad.
Haha. Well, I felt really stupid after Montana, Utah State, BGSU, etc., when looking at StubHub just before the game and seeing decent tickets go for $10 or less when I had just paid $40/each. Every year I think it's going to sell out, but there are always plenty of tickets available at kickoff.
Do you guys think the opener will sell out?
I have overpaid for season opener tickets pretty much every year for the past 10 by buying them directly through UT. Would I be better off waiting and buying them on the street or electronically on StubHub just before kickoff?

Not sure how Thursday is going to change it but in years past that opening game hasn't sold out and I have still paid more that I wanted to due to long lines at the ticket office
If I had to guess with it being Thursday the walk ups will be less
