UT is currently 27th in the Rivals team rankings if you go by average star ranking. We are now 8th in the SEC. We have 23 commitments right now so unless we start culling players we are almost done. We need to finish with a bang. Don't see any way we are going to compete for championships in the future with classes like these.

I think by midseason Byrd is the starting slot or Smith holds the ceremonial starting spot but Byrd gets significantly more snaps.

No. You always hear more about newcomers the first week because that is who he audience wants to hear about. Everyone knows what Smith is so not much to report

I mean idk about that last part though. Didn't help having Colton Jumper start the game either.

Yeah, prolly should've used a touch of blue in my post. ;)

Was an Eagle Scout, and did a fair bit of canoeing in my day. I still vividly remember how great it felt to put on a dry pair of socks and chill out around the campfire after a long day on the river. Good times. Enjoy them.

Sheesh, I'm 53, will be 54 in October.
If I were in Knoxville, I would enroll in UT and try to walkon. I still have 4 years eligibility left...
Walkons get to workout with the team, practice with the team, and dress for home games at least. I would get to run through the T!

Heck, I could be team doc at the same time...it is a no lose situation for CBJ. Imagine the air time in the media...new walkon at Tennessee dubbed Rudy Van Winkle... Methuselah with a devastating tackle to start the game...it's a shame that they have to cart his ooooold body off after every play...
