You're forgetting about Gaulden. He's going to start at one safety for sure. Probably FS position. Abernathy & Evan Berry will probably be the backups to TK Jr. & Gaulden with Warrior also getting some snaps as well.

They talked about RG7 playing some nickel because of how well Abernathy has taken to safety.

Sounds like it could be TK and Abernathy at S. Gaulden at NB.

That could be a possible combination as well. In my opinion, I think it should be TK Jr. & Gaulden at the safeties with either Abernathy & Osborne at NB or one of those two guys being a backup to TK or Gaulden.

I already said I think Foreman will be starting opposite Sutton as our #2 CB. I don't think he's going to be used much if at all at NB this season.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a lot of news. Chandler and Smith big targets. Likely back up options or later targets Butler, Webb, Marshall, Payton, and maybe McKenzie. Akers IMO a long shot possibility much later/closer to NSD. 23 commits, not a lot going on IMO.

Gaulden is going to be at nickel. He is best suited there and will be an upgrade over foreman. Micah and Nigel's emergence at safety makes them feel better about the move.

Hope they ball out.

Admittedly safety is my biggest concern on this team. We have a ton of talent at the position, but only TK has played meaningful snaps. And Shoop demands a lot out of his safeties.

On the positive side, the front 7 should be disruptive as hell and should make their jobs much easier.

I think sutton, martin, kelly, abernathy and gaulden start game 1 with moseley, warrior and foreman getting a lot of work as well.

warrior takes abernathy's spot by the florida game is my prediction

we are fast and deeeeeep in the secondary

We just have so many options though don't we? I don't remember the last season we had so many options in our secondary. It had to be during the Fulmer years.

This. Everything I read this week seemed to point to these starters: Sutton - CB, Moseley - CB, Gaulden - NB, Abernathy - SS, and TKjr - FS. With Martin, Foreman, Warrior, and Griffin seeing plenty of time.

I think RG7 could be a very good safety, but I would worry about him holding up being at how light he is for that position. NB is great for his skill set.

Think he can be Tennessee's version of Mathieu. Can play almost anywhere in the secondary at a high level and just makes plays.

Gaulden is very much like Eddie Jackson at Bama. Similar frames and versatile. Could be a great coverage safety but can play nickel too. He's gonna be fun to watch. Gauldens instincts are special I believe.
