Not off the wagon, just haven't like the Debord hire since the day he was hired. I would love to be wrong but with each game he keeps confirming my initial thoughts. Want coaches that put our players in the best chance to succeed and I'm not convinced that is the case with a couple of our coaches.

You don't say...who would have guessed that. Lol! On a serious note, I honestly think Debord is just the puppet master for Butch's offense. I don't think he gets free reign to call the game as he wants.

JRM being back and only having a muscle strain is THE NEWS we needed. UF is going to run the ball probably 75% of the time. We really needed him.

HUGE!

Now if the coaches could only find a way to keep Jumper off the field and replace him with McDowell. They are our best two LBs that are healthy right now.

With their speed, they'd be flying all over making tackles.

im pretty late on this, been somewhat avoiding the board because of the doom and gloom vibe but how did jumper look against ohio? i barely even got to listen on the radio because of work. also did berry or bates get any looks inside and if so howd they perform?

I said there will be turnovers to a guy who predicted you would have 5 we would have none

Callaway is one of the best wr in the conference goolsby is one of the best te and Powell, swain, Hammond are solid also

At rb Scarlett and Perine might surprise u they are ballers

Your defense down 2 of best makes UF's far better jmo but we absolutely loaded at DL, LB, DB

Might actually give bammer a run for their money this this year with guys like anzalone and zuniga emerging

Y'all definitely have the best defense we have faced. I am not sure your offense is as good as VA Techs and I don't think it is close. Ford is as good as Callaway. Evans is probably much better than Appleby. McMillan is better than your running backs and they have a better TE. OL is probably close to even.

You don't think tenn looked bad in those games for the most part?

Did you see the ass whooping miami gave app st in their house?

Yes I do think we looked bad.

But Florida hasn't exactly looked amazing either. Your schedule so far is reallllly bad. I personally don't care if you beat a couple of the worst FBS teams (which UNT AND UMASS are).

But at least be truthful and fair in this. The schedules are vastly different in toughness.

I say that with no disrespect to you as a poster or person. Enjoy the discussions.

Did you see the whooping BC put on UMass (the team you had a 3 point lead on in the 4th at home)? The same BC team that just got spanked 49-0 by VTech.

We've not played to our potential yet. If we finally do this weekend, you guys don't stand a chance.

First InVol, then zhanglia, now Brillo.

Errrbody going dark around here and falling off the wagon. Come on fellas, we're 3-0, and despite our lackluster play, we're still #12, we're favored against FL, and we're the Tennessee Vols. Show some heart.

Let's do this! GBO!

Not off the wagon per se, but this is the most lackluster our offense has looked since Matt Simms was at the helm. Other than a handful of improvised electric runs by Dobbs and three big pass plays, we have nothing. It's not quite Crompton-bounce-pass-Clawfense bad, but it's pretty bad.

3 games makes a trend, and the trend is bad.

Jumper looked okay. I thought his lack of speed showed pretty obvious.

Berry did not. Didn't notice Bates but I was also seeing red with how bad we were playing.

You don't think Florida looked bad against Umass and North Texas? What games were you watching?
Umass? Yes but first game and it was half a hurricane so I could let it slide with the improvement the following week

North Texas we beat 32-0 and abused on defense all night moving the ball up and down the field with ease

We have looked terrible...end of story. I think the argument being made is y'all have played no one. After the 1st quarter of the VT game, we played pretty decent that game. You have to take into account that the game before and after B@B were both huge trap games for us. Should they have been? No, but Travis Stephens said on here that trap games are a real thing, and Appy St and Ohio were big ones.

With all that said, it doesn't matter anymore. The real season starts this Saturday. Even with the injuries, NO EXCUSES. WIN!

by your logic the 3 td win vs tech should be weighed just as heavily seeing as they beat a power 5 team by some crazy score like 45-0. also your ky blowout doesnt look so hot seeing as they gave up 44 points in a loss to southern miss and 42 in a win vs new mexico state.... So two of our wins came against scrubs who have beaten power 5 teams, albeit bad ones. Still better teams than KY. Ohio would probably beat them by 10

Both teams have problems

didnt they stuff yall twice on 4th and short? hardly call that abused

I have yet to see tenn execute well for even close to 4 quarters

Hell app st def could of beat you if not for bounces going your way all night including the fumble into the endzone

And I have yet to see UF play a team worthy to call themselves a football team.

Opinion: I believe Debord called a solid game against Ohio. Dobbs was allowed to throw the ball around a bit and, for the most part, did well. The INT wasn't his fault - Preston needs to catch the damned ball. We fed Croom to good effect - would love to see more of that. The only thing missing was the knockout blow - Dobbs had Malone wide open for TDs twice and overshot him. Medley missed a kick that we need him to hit.

IMO the playcalls were there to drop 40 or 50 on that team, as it should have been. But we need guys to execute when the opportunities are there.
