Y'all really think we're going to be serviceable next year? The offensive line has been trash for 4 consecutive years and next year we won't have Dobbs to bounce of 4 defenders to make a play.

We're in trouble. We NEED Butch to hit the road. Either we have a coaching search this December or next. Why wait?

I know you've mentioned that the raise and extension have already been approved, but it would be hard for me to reconcile why it would still be on the table as a possibility.

Approved in principle when it seemed UT was going to finish 9-3 and play in the Sugar Bowl. I have no idea what they'll do now... especially with all the speculation that he might be looking to leave. Neither side has issued the standard denials, so they might do nothing at all.

It goes to show you that you can't rely on one game though. I am not a huge Kevin Steele fan, but in hindsight, he would have been light years better than what we had. He also has proved himself this year at Auburn. It's never as good as it seems, and it's never as bad as it seems.

Brice has an article today saying Charlie Anderson would not block the Blackburn hire.

He also said the timeline hasn't changed. They want an AD by the first of the year.

Even if they have the AD by the first of the year that won't give them enough time to get a new coach unless they already have a committe in place vetting candidates and then have the AD pick from a very short list

Yup that's what I'm saying a decent coach could do something with the talent that will be here next year instead we have a lame duck coach who thinks the only problem is the strength guy.

Apparently Doug Matthews was on radio earlier and said a QB coach would be hired before the bowl game.

I'd be suprised if tubs is still coach there. He acted like a guy that was fed up at end of season. Not sure Butch would backtrack to an old spot like that.
