When lane was here I was all aboard, but he overstepped the boundaries when he was recruiting the early enrolled and imploring them not to step foot into a classroom.

Yep, I don't hold it against him for leaving, but trying to get the EE to bail was so shady. Would have wrecked our program even more than he did by leaving right before NSD

I hold it against him for leaving.

Had he left a few weeks prior I would likely feel differently. He knew the position he was putting our program in when he took that USC job right before signing day. He wrecked our program like he wrecked that Lexus.

I don't think I could do it knowing the spot I'd be leaving my current program in. 1 year into the job after I had ran off a lot of depth.

Lots of coaching hires going on at big places this off season.

I think we keep Debord (rightfully so) and make some minor staff changes on Defense.

Possibly OL coach? Who knows. But Shoop could have his say on a couple hires on defense. Secondary coach comes to mind.

Waiter comes up and says...you guys Vol fans? Some coaches and recruits are about to come in to eat and the coaches want y'all to cheer if so. In comes Shoop and Gillespie and some others with some recruits. People started cheering and chanting it's great to be a Tennessee Vol. Pretty cool

Nixon, the JUCO CB, and Locklear, OT/OG/C. Those are the only 2 that I know of. Sorry.

It really is amazing the power of VolNation. I met a person from Minnesota today and she was talking about how amazing Tennessee fans are and how she has never seen anything like it. Living in Knoxville most of my life and attending UT for undergrad and law school, it is easy for you to take something for granted. Although we do not need anybody to tell us how amazing our University is, it's always nice to see somebody acknowledge just how special Tennessee truly is.

Also, I'll never forget my buddy from Cincinnati showing me around their campus and being excited about their stadium renovations to expand capacity to around 40,000, and I just smirked and laughed and said Neyland is 102,455. We're so fortunate and blessed to be Tennessee Vols. I'm so proud to be a Vol and I love the fact that the community and the entire state come together to support Tennessee. I think a lot of recruits see that when they come to visit, regardless of some issues with performance on the field, and see that Tennessee is a special place. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!
