McDaniels and Kevin O'Connell, who interviewed with CBJ, have ties from their time together at New England.

Wasn't there some talk about O'Connell possibly waiting to see if McDaniels got the S.F. position so that he could potentially rejoin him?

Seems like I read somewhere that O'Connell was the most impressive interview for QB coach, but that he was sort of in wait and see mode in regards to NFL opportunities. Maybe something like this is why Coach Jones seems to be stalling a bit on Canales. I don't know, hopefully, maybe.

I suspect Martinez was pissing him off with effort so he moved ahead with it....

We might as well get used to information not coming out until Butch wants it to. I think this is a real sign that Butch has tightened up the screws and people are on notice, let stuff out and you risk losing your job. No media or non-media with sources had this.

Just like he keeps the injury stuff quite, he is about to keep everything quite coming out of the complex or people will lose jobs IMO.

I doubt your question can accurately be answered. probably can be speculated on is best guess.

Recruiting was not Muschamps problem at least on defense. Muschamp and TROB two of the best D recruiters in country
