There have been people who have said that a lot more was going on and as ugly as bb recruiting is, I can believe that. I still wish it could have turned out differently and it did seem that the NCAA was very heavy-handed, considering the violations that were in the letter.

...Thus my absolute hatred of the NCAA.

One guy gets the firing squad, the other gets a stern talking to; all depending on who you are or just how they feel that week.

Corner is weakest link on the team next year IMO.

Where did this hire come from? Never heard his name until this morning and then 10 minutes later he was hired! I'm not complaining but just out of nowhere Butch RKOs us with a great hire!

In 2011, the Air Force pass defense ranked third in passing yards allowed at 166.8 yards per game and sixth in the country in pass efficiency defense. In 2010, the Falcon secondary was even better, ranking second nationally by allowing just 147.8 passing yards per game. The play of the defensive backfield helped Air Force to a 9-4 record, capped by a victory over Georgia Tech in the Independence Bowl.

Even at a school like Air Force where they don't get the quality recruits he was a major role in their secondary being exceptional.

Before his time at Nebraska, Warren spent nine seasons working with the secondary at Air Force, including serving as the Falcons’ defensive coordinator in each of his final six seasons.

Also, he has coordinator experience. Always good to have another guy that can help Shoop gameplan. I really hope those two mesh because our DBs and our defense need it.

For a guy that I barely heard about before today, I love this hire.

Unfortunate. Bruce was my favorite coach in UT history, and following the basketball team from 2005-2010 was probably the most fun I've had as a UT fan. (2011 was a bit too toxic to enjoy after the Pitt and Nova wins at the end of 2010).

Ditto, I enjoyed basketball more than I ever have at any level during his tenure

He proved with Shoop he'll branch out on defense. Offense is where he's locked in
