So, last year there were 8 commitments (I think) during Orange Carpet Day and there were naysayers that was too many and we shouldn't have taken so many. I wonder how many will complain about there being 0 commitments today.
It really appears like Butch and this staff have really changed their approach to recruiting when it comes to taking early commitments.
Thoughts?
What was the main thing that killed us in recruiting in 2017 and to a lesser extent 2016?
I know there's a lot of causes. No draft picks, Title IX lawsuit, lackluster staff, wait and see mode on Butch, etc.
But we had another "disappointing" season and other coaches can point to articles that say Butch is on the hot seat, and yet recruiting seems to be going really well.
