Fair or not, his legacy will in part be determined by how he fares in the NFL. Someone said top three all time, but that's probably recency bias. I will say that he is the best Vol player since Peyton, of that there is no doubt in my mind.

And of course the critical issue of does he claim the Vols or his high school in the intro vids...

We didnt lose so much that we shouldn't compete. UF practically lost an NFL defense.

Lazy analysis IMO. They've won the division two years running with a new coach so of course it should just continue.

Here is my take:

vs GT-W (this one will be tough, but we will pull away in the second half)
vs Ind St-W (shouldn't be close)
@ Fla-W (I think we are just better than UF and their defense is a shell of itself)
vs UMass-W (Nice warmup before UGA)
vs UGA-W (I think this is a win, but it could be a loss if there are injuries and breaks don't go our way)
vs USCe-W (we owe them a serious beatdown from last year)
@Ala-L (starting the season 6-0 and ranked in the top 10 for this massive showdown. We just fall short, but it will be a good game.)
@KY-W (They will be better and it is on the road - if we are beat up it could get dicy)
vs Sou Miss-W (easy win)
@Mizzou-W (another road trip but this should be a win)
vs LSU-L (I am torn on this one. I don't know that they will be great, but it is later in the year and they might have it rolling and we might be reeling a bit from injuries, the bama loss, etc. So for this sake I am giving it the L)
@Vandy-W (this is a MUST win - no excuses)

10-2 is a real possibility IMO.

ppl love to act like we are the only team to lose anything. That UF defense was absolutely gutted and ppl dont even bat an eye lol.

Then you have UGA, Who has garnered the most hype 9 of the last 10 yrs. They bring back several underachievers from a 5 loss team and now 7 months later ppl act like that same roster is just so awesome. Makes no sense. Lorenzo Carter has to be the biggest underachiever in the SEC. Also have no O Line still. The east is wide open.

GA's freshman class are outstanding. But they won't help much this year. They'll be trouble in the future tho barring Kirby being D. Dooley 2.0 (which it looks like he may be). But they have hype because of Eason. He's got potential and he's experienced. They also got Chubb back, but he isn't the same imo. We'll see how they are on the LOS.

With us, depends on QB play. I think we're solid everywhere else. Hopefully the addition of Rock will play huge dividends

It's so true. UF, UGA and even UK are getting all kinds of love but Vols are meh? Haha yeah right.

UF lost all their D and still don't have a QB or weapons on offense besides the one guy who's always in trouble.

UGA goes 7-5 last fall with a loaded roster but now they're a playoff team just because? ok.

UK does have arguably the easiest schedule in the SEC but it's still Kentucky. At best they go 7-5.

But I love it actually. So little hype and expectations on this Vol team. I'll be surprised if we're not in Atlanta.

i agree with all that. But they are so bad on the OL and ppl just dismiss it. They really only have one good DT also. And he has been in rehab or something idk. So many questions on the LOS. If this was us then everybody would be freaking out about Butch.

That's how it looks every single year in June. 5*s usually wait to commit till later, then a good portion of them commit to Bama.

UGA love is baffling. UGA lost a ton of OL talent and they only went 7-5 last year. Those big guys who were making the RB and QB look so good are gone, so now they get double digit wins? And the defense wasn't anything special. That one good recruiting class isn't going to save them.

I am with you on this one but the better story here is we don't have a commit list full of guys we know are going to get cut.

June is much different for us right now in a good way.
