I think Jordan is GOAT, FTR, but dude played 15 NBA seasons. Meaning he failed to reach the Finals 9 times. I appreciate the clean 6-0 series record in the Finals. Yet we never hear about that. Maybe we would have had social media been present in the mid-90s. But LBJ gets some unfair treatment, IMO.
Some of y'all are just spittin' what you hear Skip and other talking heads are spewing on TV or radio with the hate on LBJ. At some point can't we appreciate the fact that this Lebron dude has taken his team 7 straight Finals? 8 overall Finals. In 14 years. So far. He's never lost in the first round. This Cavs team was the worst team in the league for 4 years while he won in Miami. Came back and immediately took them to the Finals. That's not overrated. That's the definition of an MVP.
Most overall playoff points in history of NBA. Yes, it took MJ 33 fewer games to reach his scoring total. But Lebron took 150 fewer shots than MJ to get the record.
The argument for GOAT is a fair one, IMO. I grew up watching MJ, and I don't think anyone will ever surpass him. But LBJ is one of the best passers of all time. He's shooting crazy efficient right now (yes, even from 3, Bass. Look it up). And he and Kyrie put down a 73-win team up 3-1 less than a year ago. We'll see how the rest of this series goes, but even if they get swept, he still has accomplished more than almost any other player in the history of this game. That legitimizes his legacy, IMO, as one of the GOAT's.
