So. Based on the practice picture above and the preseason reports, where does Jordan rank in the pantheon of all-time Vol great running backs? I have him somewhere around 6th, behind James "Little Man" Stewart. With a solid showing in garbage time at GT and a good third quarter against Indiana State, he easily becomes top 5.

I cannot answer that until I see him flexing after a workout with Rock.

I will never consider Bray a top quarterback at UT - his attitude on the field and off is why I feel this way.

If he had real coaches, everything about him might have been different...
Not making excuses for him, just saying that those coaches were quitters too.

One of the best things about coaching stability for five seasons is that we're finally in a position to start redshirting guys and stockpiling OL and DL.

We only have 2 RS SRs on the lines of scrimmage and 3 RS JRs.

There are 4 RS SO linemen, 7 RS FR linemen, and likely 7-8 FR linemen who will redshirt this year. We'll hopefully be in a position from now on where only 1-2 linemen from each class play as freshmen and the rest redshirt.

Agree... now we just need some top tier LBs... I know we just got Ignont but we need quality depth... anyone have a Bates sighting?

I went back and watched Timothy Jordan's senior year highlights because of the rave reviews he's getting.

He's pretty stinkin' impressive.

The cupboard might not be bare at RB. Now we just got to keep them all fed.

Looks like he only played 2 games his Junior year and 3 his Senior year which would explain a low rating. But, anybody up on it more know why? Did he get injured both years?

Been saying this for several years. Glad it is finally happening and coaching stability is a good thing and why CBJ needs to be given two more years as long as team comes out playing hard for four quarters and solid disciplined football. Beat the teams we should and compete till the final whistle and with some breaks you win a lot of games and will win championships. We are close and NEED CBJ to have success this year and keep stockpiling players and we will be contending for NC's.

My biggest disappointment last year was that we had tons of turnovers and penalties and played undisciplined football. Jones' teams did not have these issues in past years even with less talent. Undisciplined football is how talented teams get beat. Clean that crap up and we will have a great season and Jones can get this thing to where we all want it to be. He has to improve his in game coaching but he will still make mistakes. They all do even the great Satan who is born on Halloween.

I just went back and watched some of the SEC Network from media day. They were talking about SEC East and Marcus Spears just said Kirby Smart has built a wall around Georgia in recruiting😂😂😂

When you look at the OL and DL and the lack of redshirt upperclassmen, Butch's "it takes 6-7 years to build a program" comment makes sense. I really think he has a good plan in place to make Tennessee competitive year in and year out. This probably won't be a popular comparison, but IMO he's building Tennessee in the same way Gary Pinkel built Mizzou. Stout on the lines of scrimmage every year, but didn't really get it rolling until year 6-7. Then he had 5 10+ win seasons there, including two top 5 finishes.

Apply that same philosophy at a school like Tennessee that has better recruiting grounds and you're set up for success.

He did for the 2017 class, but not for 2018
