The guy that has led the league in three pointers five straight years and is shattering records is a fraud.

Never said he wasn't a great shooter. Just disagreeing with the media narrative he's some all-time great player.

I've never seen an all-time NBA player hidden on defense as much as Steph Curry. Until he can guard his position and isn't forcing a 6'7" Klay Thompson to run around every game guarding opposing point guards, he will never be an elite player in my eyes.

Steph Curry is nothing more than an overhyped Steve Nash.

I know this is a little off topic, but it is at least football related. I'm at Va Tech for a Chemistry Symposium and we are having our banquet tonight at the stadium. Figured I would share some views from the top of the stadium we now own thanks to Bristol.

I made a thread in the pub about this, but I was hoping more people would see it here. I'm considering relocating for a full-time position working at a location near the CNN center in Atlanta. I temporarily worked in Atlanta about 7 years ago and rented an apartment in midtown when I did. I never really had a chance to explore the outside areas of Atlanta and don't know if the areas I were in have changed since I've been there. Can anyone offer some insight into good/safe areas that I should look into that I could easily commute from? I really don't want to rent if I can avoid it. I'd rather buy a condo/apartment or even a house if possible. Thanks everyone!

I left Atlanta in 2001 (because of the traffic) but lived up 400 in Dunwoody when I left. I worked around Lenox Square at the time and my commute was 3+ hours a day. If at all possible you will want to live close to where you work or expect to spend lot of time if your car. Mid-Town, Decatur, Virginia Highlands, Inman Park, Little Five Points are all options (albeit expensive) and still might be a long commute because of traffic.

about to move there. only know about the north side. Cumming is your best bet on top safety. You could take 400 all the way down so it's not too bad. Problem is living anywhere near your work is iffy from my limited knowledge. I'm about to move to the edge of Buford and Lawrenceville myself.

Cumming
Alpharetta
Buford
Roswell

are my suggestions

It took you 3 hours from Dunwoody? nah. maybe before they expanded 400.

1-1.5 hours each way. So yeah about 2-3 hours a day. I was actually closer to Roswell than Dunwoody but had a Dunwoody address at the time off Holcomb Bridge. Sometimes took 45 minutes just to get onto 400 from Holcomb Bridge.

I live in Cumming. It's a nice place to live but your commute will suck.

Thanks. Commute is the biggest thing for me. I really want nothing more than a 15 minute or so commute.

You'll need to live near downtown for that. Grant Park area, Virginia Highlands, etc. There are a surprisingly large number of apartments that have popped up in that west end area near where Marietta St and Northside drive intersect.

You could live in the Smyrna/Vinings area and take back roads in, but that would be 20 - 25 minutes. I live in Cobb and commute in - my commute is usually around 45 minutes one way - listen to lots of podcasts there and back... I hope to move closer to downtown in the next couple of years. Atlanta is a great place though if you can take the traffic!

In Cumming too. Schools are good up here, but if you have to be in Midtown everyday, that would be tough. Lots of folks in my neighborhood don't really have an office - work from home or travel for work or both.
