Do you even play golf? I think not. Golf is doing just fine. I play golf almost every day and when I hear people say golf is no good without Tiger I want to puke.
Golf may not be growing but that's because golf takes roughly 4 to 5 hours to complete a round. I wish tons of folks would stay away from golf. I get tired of hackers hitting grounders from the back tees. Please leave the game to those who know how to play the game or find a course built for beginners. If you don't get it, its called a driving range. Off my soap box now. Golf is doing just fine.
Can someone please explain to me why tiger was "so great to watch". I find golf enjoyable and even more so now that tiger isn't the only golfer the announcers talk about.

That's not true. You think Saban is a pretty nice guy to be around? When push comes to shove a fanbase, especially this one, really doesn't care how likable a guy is as long as he wins. Kiffin was a huge douche but most everybody loved him for it when he was here.

I would have taken Spurrier here in a heartbeat.
Guy could coach some football and was hilarious.
No sir, you do speak for some, but not for most of the Tennessee community. We don't believe in win at any cost. Spurrier never welcome here, Petrino neither. But, there are always some "the ends justify any means" folks out there. They should become Florida fans, where they get kids who are hard commits elsewhere to visit campus anyway, then set them up for a scandal -- did it to a Vol recruit and to a Miami one also. Kiffin, we chuckled uneasily at his acting up while he was here, but we didn't see the worst of him until he was leaving us, and trying to take recruits with him. Saban ... I could see what a jerk he was when he was here in Baton Rouge, long before Bama.
It’s early, but there have been a few newcomers who have impressed in the weight room to this point. In the secondary, Cheyenne LaBruzza and Shawn Shamburger have both physically brought their ‘A’ games early. On the defensive front, Ryan Thaxston and Matthew Butler had already gotten rave reviews, while defensive tackle Kivon Bennett has also impressed. Offensively, Ty Chandler and Tim Jordan have stood out, too. Jordan, who has displayed some real explosiveness, weighs about 195 pounds right now, so he'll need to keep working to put weight on, but the coaches like where he's positioned himself. They are being cautious with Chandler, who has been battling a bit of a tender hamstring suffered in a track meet in late May.
Overall, the team continues to get healthier. Now, we know Shy Tuttle is not close to 100% but really everyone else is close and are participating in the offseason program — and that meant plenty of work in the heat this week.
I do agree with you to a point but I didn't say win at all costs. For the most part, I would venture to say this fanbase would rather have a jerk who can win championships over a nice guy who doesn't win. If you'd take the latter then you should probably start pulling for Vanderbilt.
Really hope that VQ update means the Thaxton news was just from somebody who was mistaken.
Also pumped to hear about Jordan and Shamburger looking impressive thus far. Both were guys I really liked despite their low rankings (especially Jordan).
Would love to see Jordan sneakily steal some 3rd string reps and Shamburger make noise on special teams this year.
