We played with good discipline last night. No TOs and penalties were low. Good to see

Def a good foundation to build on. If we continue that trend I like how the season could go. People forget how much turnovers and penalties cost us games. Def tamu, sc, vandy. Dobbs was great but also the teams own worst enemy the int and fumbles were tough to overcome

I vote we all get 100 likes in compensation for this outrage!

I figured out why the like button is out. They are working on it but it might be a while before it is back up due to.... complications.

We played great in special teams BUT the missed FGs weren't due to our good plays. You can't defense 30yard FGs when they are excuted on the other side of the ball

Can't blame us for another teams poor execution. They didn't execute their ST good, helped us out.

The "well we won and everything is fine" talk reminds me of the Florida and Georgia games two years ago.

Butch coached exactly the same game in both down the stretch. Ran it 3 times but couldnt get a first down, Played the spy defense on the game deciding play but the Georgia game he was declared a hero and the Florida game he was declared a goat.

Here we have posters praising the team for not giving up and all is well because a kicker missed 2 kicks that would have ended the game.

Would this board be proclaiming all is well if one of those kicks had been made? Hell no it wouldn't be

Is kicking a skill?

My profession opinion would be that they put some code in for the "Like" button that was causing the double posts.

If you win ST and don't turn it over you can win a lot of games, including those where you were a bit outplayed in other phases.

Lack of penalties also an improvement over last year.

FYI... Freak has been working on the offensive plays video.

I understand the defense played poorly, but a bad matchup can make a defense look a lot worse.

No Kirkland and no Tuttle makes for a very bad matchup. Pair that with a lack of depth and Colton Jumper on the field the whole game and you get non-desirable results against an offense geared to grind it out.

The good thing is, we get Tuttle back, Taylor is a bad man, Bituli is a bad man, and we don't have to face that offense again.

You can't blame "a bad matchup" for playing poor fundamentals. True that Tuttle and former DT Danny Obrien displayed better technique last season and hopefully Tuttle will be back to contribute soon. But what about the other players? Don't we need everyone on the same page to play proper technique and fundamentally sound football? I did not see it last night in the play of Vickers and McKenzie.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but did we lose any defensive players to injury last night? I can't recall any. With the off-season narrative that GT's blocking was going to cripple our whole D for the remainder of the season, I must say it is a minor miracle to be escaping that game without any major defensive injuries.

Omg

I'm so done

So back to the last 4 ranked it just dawned on me what happened to us beating ky, missouri, and Tenn tech last year before losing to vandy? If you count the last 4 how would we have been ranked against vandy and not those 3?
