I just finished reading the Calexit thread. At first I was like fu** it. Let them. 5 minutes later I have changed my mind.

I'm a retired Marine. I spent the biggest portion of my adult life defending the United States of America. The country. The whole country.

No. We as Americans should not wish for this to happen. We should not condone it. It is wrong.

Now. What I can get behind is California attempting to secede from the Union. That hasn't worked out for states to well in the past and I could be all for the U.S. Military going into California and setting those effing weak minded little pric** back on the straight and narrow with a few good ass whippings. I mean, come on. Do those dumb asses think that if they secede that all those U.S. Military bases become theirs, troops and all? :eek:lol:

How would a bunch of pacifist pansy *** hippies ever get active enough to cecede? They smoke some tweeds and forget all about cecetion in a week or so.

To me the funniest part is California has no where near enough natural resources to sustain a population the great and ignorant.

This. Once the US takes back all of its military equipment, Mexico would just complete the takeover and drain California the rest of the way. Without the US propping them up, California wouldn't last 5 years on their own. Their all sensationalist talk and nothing else.

They think it would hurt the rest of the country by not having the California coast for shipping. I suppose it could slow things down a bit. We would still however have the Oregon and Washington coast.

The flip side of that is...how much good would that coast do for California with a U.S. Naval blockade keeping anything from getting to them. How about an air blockade? California the State has what militarily? Nothing. As a country, all we would have to do is bide our time and blockade them. Let nothing in. They would turn on themselves pretty quickly.

Can't forget that all of SoCal would lose their electricity the second they secede. You know since the Hoover Dam is in US territory.

Oh wait....Military bases are U.S. Government property. Camp Pendleton alone has 17 miles of oceanfront. Not to mention the 125,000 acres of base that has 40,000+ Marines on it at any given time.

They'd lose access to the Colorado River and have to permanently ration water.

Why isn't Saudi Arabia on the list when a majority of the 9/11 attackers were from there?

Oh yeah, there are Trump hotels in that country.

I'm really not defending him. Just playing devil's advocate. Does he have hotels in Egypt? Where do you see his hotels in SA? Also, while they are far from a perfect ally, SA is about the most stable regime in the region and we really need to keep the radicals out of SA as much as possible. If that means supporting the current regime then that is what we should do. We messed around in Iraq and look where that has led us. Saddam was a horrible person but the region was more stable with him in power. Sometimes the correct answer doesn't always look right. Libya is another example. We took Momar Khadafi out of power creating a vacuum that has been filled by radicals. Foreign policy isn't always black and white. Also, countries that have good economies don't breed as much radicalism. If Trumps wants to build hotels all over the middle east I could care less. If the development brings stability and less radicalism then build away Mr. President!

Sorry. I think I strayed a little there.

Where can one find a list of countries where Trump has hotels.

It's a secret ;)

There is a list on trumphotels.com You won't find any Saudi or Egyptian ones on there because those hotels don't bear the "Trump" name.

You'll have to use the internets to find the ones he owns, but doesn't put his name to.

Putting his name on a hotel would be the same as a bulls eye in that region.

That sounds like work. I'll just watch FoxNews and let them spoon feed me and tell me what to believe.
