Not meaning to pry, but was your wife also previously married?

My current strategy is contingent upon waiting until my 30s and preying upon the first wave of divorcées with lowered standards to marry (for many different reasons which I can go into later but I'm a lil drunk right now).

Got an opinion one way or another on that?

Yeah...she was married to an abusive buttmunch for 12 years. The standards go up, not down. Nobody with any sense wants to marry an even bigger jerk the second time. I just got lucky, actually I know you dont believe, but I really feel God led us together. Without her, I know I could not have made through some pretty bad valleys without falling. It's something I have to continually guard against, the temptation to indulge when things go rough.

So your going for the used car?

I wasn't trying to imply that standards go down the second time around necessarily. In my view experience is a virtue that often leads to better decision making.

Regardless I'm happy that you've found someone to keep you grounded :hi:

I was thinking more along the lines of signing free agent instead of drafting a rookie.

Cars don't really get a say in the matter lol

That is very sensible.

Well it depends, if you go with the free agent RB you might find yourself with one with a lot of miles.

And then maybe you can find the right one who fits your scheme, really wants to play for your team, gives you a couple great seasons, and then retires as a beloved member of your team :)

Glad the Democrats found the creepy preacher from Poltergeist for their response to Trumps speech

Every time someone on here gets all sanctimonious on their political soapbox it makes me love volnation a little less and want to spend less time on here. And I'm not alone.

I honestly think that he was just making fun of the appearance of the person in question. Is that a little bit juvenile? Yeah, probably so, but I would not call it being sanctimonious on a political soapbox.

Everyone has the right to their opinions. While not 100% true, it is often the left that try to silence anyone of differing opinions. The left also love to take my money and give it to people that haven't earned it. I am far from a card carrying Republican but I am pleased with at least some of the things that have happened under Trump so far. I also understand people who don't like him. This is an off topic thread and folks are welcome to make comments within the rules of the VN standards. If you don't like that then feel free to move on and post elsewhere. Thanks for stopping by.

Interesting coming from someone who quite obviously backed the other side. How is what he said being sanctimonious (it was a joke). Even if he was being serious, how is it sanctimonious? The left has shown themselves to be a bunch of hypocritical losers the last few months. As soon as they lost, they completely forgot about everything they were saying leading up to election day.

Trump won. There are people that are happy about it. There are also people that voted for him, that may not have necessarily loved the guy, but were not going to vote for that piece of crap he was running against. Get over yourself with that sanctimonious bull crap.

Had your party won, and Trump lost, what would you be thinking if the Trump people acted like the Dems are acting now? It's pathetic and IMO (<---see this, it means it is purely my opinion and I am not speaking for anyone but me) anyone that thinks the way the Dems are acting is ok is pathetic too.
