Wading but one generator was on so i couldnt do much

fyi, you can hurt a trout holding it too tight 😛 less you plan to eat him.

If you can catch the time right, one generator is good. esp on a colder river with no eutrophication. some warmer rivers get crazy amounts of sticks and weeds during any generation making it impossible to fish.

by god if they're pulse generating, 10 min after the pulse. Game on.

Posted this in the Pub and got no reply. Maybe Tejas Vol Doc can offer some advice. Anyone with a modicum of expertise in the area is welcome to chime in as well.

Just saw this. Normally just have time for RF football thread...

If it is still hurting, send me an email to
Jkay@arlingtonortho.com

Could be muscle or tendon strain. No bruising is Grade one. Motrin/Aleve daily for at least a week. Warm it up then gentle non-painful stretching (30-60 seconds x5 daily), then ice after. If it spasms then ice, ice, baby.

I let him go and worked him in the water till he was able to swim out from my hand. I will keep that in mind!

Thanks, Doc. I was hoping you'd chime in. Advise employed.

Went up to Townsend Sunday and hiked some of the Middle Prong Trail. Made this video of it, thought some of you might like to see it.

i dont do much trout fishing anymore. dont get me wrong a bad day fishing is better than the best day working...but, chase Smallmouth. Always enjoyed it. I can remember caching my first smallie on a fly rod. it was over art that point.

My excuse for not fishing for trout is I got spoiled catching Trout out West, that are native generationally. They see less pressure, and, by and large the hatches are longer, and the mayflies bigger. So, got spoiled there. In short, it's a lot harder to catch Trout on East Coast Iyam

Anyway, I was prodding you about holding the fish. I could t care less 😀

Bassmaster, THAT's one them Bill Dancer's! Beautiful fish! There's a movie called 'Bass' where Cortland sponsors a guy to travel the country and tell story of Florida Strain Bass. Guy is a really good fly fisherman. He researches via interviews with bait chuckers, and spin guys. He uses a variety of sinking tips...at one point he takes his travel vice out. Ties a different colored shad in his boat and hooks up. Pretty cool.

There's this asian fella. An Ex Surfer who has made a living chasing Florida strain largemouth in California tailwaters as they move in and out of rivers with tides. He has two or three 15 plus pound largemouth on fly WR's. pretty impressive and a good movie. check it out.

There is an abandoned trail that starts near the abandoned car. It takes you through green camp gap down to Sam's creek. Follow it downstream to thunderhead prong back to the middle prong trail head. It takes you by the old red wolf pens. That is one of many routes I hiked 15 days straight for several summers doing my graduate work at UTK. Not sure if it is still passable since it's been more than 20 years since I last hiked it.

I agree, it has to be one of the best trails in the mountains. I am sure there are probably some with more scenery or more history, but the combination of that is what makes this one so great. . . not to mention how easy it is.

I've never been past Indian Flats on the trail yet, not sure if I'm missing much or if there is really even much more to see.
